WS - I would up the temperature, think that when you have small children you need to be a little less green :D (with washing anyway) I pre treat grease marks with a little Stardrops or washing up liquid rubbed in.

Am completely exhausted again, dinner is cooking as I type. OH will be taking DS to kickboxing and I think I will have a bath and an early night. Treated myself in Lush today - their Easter goodies were half price so will have a lovely smelling bath.

Thank you for this. Little bear isn't too bad, on the whole, by and large, all things considered, but as most toddlers will, he wears food sometimes (and shares with me )

    Bargains at Lush, you say?

They had Easter Egg bath bombs which were all half price. What I bought was a large egg - both sides of the egg are bath ballistics, inside was a bath bar and some soap - these were £4. I do love luch stuff and I will really enjoy my bath tonight:D

Well, if I can take LB out today, I can certainly get him out tomorrow, just as far as the Lush shop...

Actually I want to try and take him to a story time. It is two buses each way, and they don't connect easily, but it would be absolutely marvellous if I could get him there. And I could visit a Lush shop on the way back...

And now off to make tea.

    Hugs to all.

I'd definitely second upping the wash temperature too. I wash whites/lights at 60 degrees and generally use Daz, only because they're on offer the most often, and the stains come out. When Little Bear is older it'll be grass, mud, engine oil, beer & other such unmentionable stains that drive you to distraction  :D My DS2 (now nearly 15yrs old) STILL wears his evening meal on a regular basis :rotfl:

    Afternoon all

    Happy Birthday Lamewolf

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Today has been just as hard as I thought it would be - spent all morning ringing round places re MiL gas, elec, phone, rates, water, council re flat, pension, etc etc etc. Spoke to Coroner who said post morteum can't take place until weds, thurs or friday as they still have a backlog from Easter!!!! So we can't get hold of a death certificate until end of week at earliest. Have been to the Funeral Directors this lunchtime (Wannabesybil - the one at the end of your road!) to get main details sorted but still have finer details to sort out.

I am so stressed at the moment and we haven't even been near her flat to start sorting today and tbh I don't think I can face anymore today. I have to go into work for a few hours tomorrow morning as I have to do the wages but don't think that I am up to stopping long.

Been very un-OS as went to buy some cakes, biscuits in to offer people when they call (couldn't even think of baking) and fish and chips for lunch.

My mind is on overload at the moment, so just thanks again.

  • Evening Guys!

We have just had Value white frozen fish from Tesco which I bought ages ago and it was lovely. It will do 2 meals for the 3 of us and tonight had with new pots, parsley sauce, sweetcorn and peas...yummy! I think we will do a fish pie with the rest. Great value at under £2 a bag;) I cooked in the Remoska with a little knob of butter on each and value mixed herbs...it took 20 mins and didnt smell too fishy either IYKWIM:D

DD has just put the DW on a rapid wash and has said she will empty after it finishes and she has tidied kitchen and bought washing in from outside for me too. She's a good girl!

I am in hospital tomorrow having treatment, but hopefully will be out later in the day, so OH is doing my favourite Shepherds Pie & Veg. Some of the drugs make me feel quite sick, so hopefully it should be okay but will see how I am.

Twink-A big thanks from us all here for you know what:rotfl:

Anyway, I hope you are all ok.

    Hugs to all.

    Evening all
Hubby's watering the garden & the lodgers flaked out on the floor behind me. All was chaos & confusion at work today, nothing unusual there then.
    Happy B'day Lamewolf.
    Hugs Hester

I'm afraid I haven't read the thread yet, I've been out all day, and just got back. Some of you will remember catowen who used to post very regularly on here, but is now found on the competitions boards. Do you remember she won a Harrods £2000 giftcard ? She and her children came up to London to spend it, and they had a great time. Well she was also given a Harrods loyalty card, same as your Sainsbugs or Tesco one really:rolleyes:, and because she had spent £2000 she earned a bonus that was put on her card. As she wouldn't get up here to spend it she very kindly sent it to me :j:j:D Isn't that amazingly generous? Today DH and I finally had a day out in central London, and spent cat's bonus. I got THIS lovely teddy who will be coming to Canada in May, to be given to my mapleleaf granddaughter :D:D:T Her Canadian family will be very impressed ;) She is even lovelier in real life and I would point out that she wears the dress AND matching knickers :rotfl:

Apologies that I've nothing OS to report. I'll go and have a swift read through now, but hope everyone has enjoyed this beautiful sunshine today.
