Penelope Penguin - I am sorry that I didn't wish your daughter happy birthday. I am really bad at that sort of stuff - I forgot to wish Sunnyday happy birthday yesterday and if it hadn't been for your post I would not remember to say happy birthday to LameWolf, and I am worse in real life.
I am really sorry you are feeling upset. Please don't stop posting.
JadeLD - welcome to the thread. The handwash sounds lovely - peppermint soap ?! Where is that from?
Marie - glad you had a good holiday.
Sunnygirl - hope your mum and dad are feeling better now they are home.
My darling father has announced that as one of his girlfriends is unexpectedly busy next weekend he is coming up to visit this Wednesday. He hasn't visited for a very long time although it has been potentially happening for some time.
So if I am on here too often tell me off - the house is a wreck. The house does not look as if someone Old Style lives here. It looks like it is being primed for Kim and Aggie. Also, I have amended the shopping order. All the plans I was slowly making and the budget I was slowly inching towards have gone right out of the window. Again. The shopping order has gone up considerably as I have added a lot of whiskey to it. And Sky Sports will be added to our rather basic package while he is here (they let me cancel after 30 days, it gets added every time he visits and then cancelled off when the thirty days are up).
And, foot is considerably recovered, so regardless of all I need to do I am going to get little bear out into the sunshine.
Also evil cat has been to the vets, is doing extremely well, but needs to go for weekly injections for three more weeks! The poor vet!
Hugs to all and I am sorry that I have missed anyone.

Morning all................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Lovely morning, pity I have to be inside cleaning the bedroom window frame, apart from the small window in the kitchen thats the last of the muck spots!!
We are waiting on a letter from BT/Sky re the installation of our phone line/broadband. We dare not go out this week because I am sure they are coming one day to do it and if we are not in they will charge us £105 for a further visit. I am not impressed with their service, had we been able to get Virgin here we would have been fixed up ages ago.....its driving me potty I have already spent £20 on calls from my mobile for various things. I am going onto their website to see if I can get any where with that. I know they offered us 3 dates this week and one was Friday which I siad no to as its the day OH goes for his first lot of treatment. Whats the betting the stupid chuffs have put it down for then???!!! They are supposed to send a confirmation letter......no letter, and unfortunately I am not a mind reader........never have been.
Rant over........
Possibly more gardening this afternoon, I have the towels in the washer, they should dry quite quickly, there is a bit of a breeze, but the sun is shining and it feels quite warm.
Offsky for my second coffee, see y'all later..................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hugs to Nic and Penny pincher.

I have not been posting much over the weekend and was not sure when DDs birthday was, we do birthday treats sometimes days or weeks after the event.Hope you all enjoyed "Wicked".
Took DD(20) back to uni yesterday, had a bite to eat and bought her a load of groceries to get her stocked up. Starting to miss her but know she is happy and has good friends there.
DD(15) paid me an inadvertent compliment when she asked for a home made salad and cheese roll for her school packup -it had to be nice and squishy like the picnic I made for Saturday!!!!
Need to go and buy DD a new scientific caculator as hers is going a bit dodgy as well as getting her a few more bits and bobs.
Three loads of washing are on the line outside as it is a nice drying day, need to bake more home made rolls, tidy up the kitchen and think what to make for tea.
DH and DD(23) will be happy with roast potato, veg and roast pork from yesteday and might make home made sweet potato soup for me and DD(15), unless she fancies a BLT and salad or saute potatoe.
Have changed a hair appointment to this Thursday instead of next week so I look somewhat presentable for great Aunt's 85th birthday on Saturday. Also need to go look for nice skirt or linen trousers to wear with pretty top for the party. Being a size (!!!!!!) cough, cough is not making it easy.;)

How is the ankle?
Advert for the house went in on Friday to local paper but no response, winge!!!! Just want to get moved and sorted out . DH says I have no patience but I think 21 years in the same house and trying to sell for nearly two years would try anybody!!!!
Hugs to every oneand see you later."This site is addictive!"

Hi all. Just visiting a friend and using her laptop to check on emails and so on. I really really hope to back online sometime this week. France Telecom have really tested my patience - and my French, but I now have a British person dealing with my case so, with any luck, I'll be back soon!
I hope everyone is well.I must have loads to catch up on after so long being out of touch!
I'll log on as soon as I am back in the land of the living.
Take care

Happy Birthday :bdaycake::bdaycake:
Have cleaned gas hob, washed pots, glasses etc. and loaded dishwasher.
Another load of washing is about to be hung out and have raced round looking for change as widow cleaner called.
Several mugs are stepping in special solution to get rid of teastains- DH washes cup etc but is oblivious to the fact that stains are still left and gets miffed if I point it out or else then do it properly myself.
DD is going shopping for me as one of us needs to wait in for a postal delivery.
See you later and have a good day."This site is addictive!"

Hi wannabe sybil,
Thanks, the soap was from a recent stay at the Holiday Inn in TorontoHehe free soap makes the handwash even more of a bargain (I was away with work so didn't have to pay for the hotel!). You can also get a peppermint soap from Bert's Bees but it's quite expensive - I once got one in TKMaxx though.
Hope your cat is ok and not too evil!
