.......Lots of Asiatic lillies to seperate, they were covered with small red beatles chomping away  so spent over an hour picking them off with my eyebrow tweezers, don't like using pesticides........
This had me thinking of lots of little Johns, Pauls, Georges & Ringos walking round eating the leaves! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I'm just having a cool down having gone through the upstairs of the house like a whirling dervish
I've de-webbed & dusted all bedrooms & bathroom, cleaned under the beds  (at what the children 'store' under there) gone through the wardrobes & drawers, cleaned the woodwork & door casings and done the bath, sink & loo. Oh and hoovered. Just got to hoover the stairs, the sofa's, dust downstairs & vac & mop it. Not surprised I'm hot really :rotfl: Just off to peg another load out then make some lunch for DH, myself & DS3. I've just heard horrible noises from the back garden so it would appear that DH forgot to feed the dog again. If he misses a meal (the dog that is
) he will eat grass until he's sick. Then pester for food
I've never had a dog like this before, all mine have been walking dustbins
I hope that the weather is lovely for everyone it's gorgeous here again. Catch you all later :wave:0 -
Morning everyone,
I've just got back from Bingo which I lost miserably. Oh well better luck next week.Caught up with washing & a few jobs today. Done a bit more wall washing as well. Went for a long walk to blow away the cobwebs this arv too. DGS came over for tea & he's sound asleep now. He's staying the day tomorrow. We're invited out after lunch. A friend of mine has her twin granddaughters (3 yrs) here so off to play & chat.
LameWolf Happy Birthday. Hope you are spoilt rotten.
PPen I'm not sure I posted Friday or not but I hope she had a nice day. But really I find it odd that you've taken offence. I mean if we wished everyone's children, husbands/partners etc Happy Birthday we wouldn't have much room to talk about OS & then we'd all get in trouble for that.
Thriftlady I bookmarked that blog & went back and had a read last night. It's really interesting. Thanks for that.
Well I'm off to bed. Enjoy the rest of your day & <hugs> to those not well. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Afternoon peeps
Happy Birthday Lamewolf :bdaycake:have a fantastic day!
The daily thread is acting strangely for me today, every time i use the thanks button the whole page refreshes - very strange.
Well i was up before dawn and have been a very busy bee, the bed was stripped and the clean sheets are now on the line in the glorious sun.
The dw has been emptied and the houndies walked, i`ve been in the garden since i returned
My little solar powered radio is keeping me company playing away in the background and i`ve weeded an entire border and moved two shrubs from the back garden to the front. We had a broken step which is topped with a paving stone so i got the huge lump hammer and a crowbar and i`ve managed to remove it and replace it. It looks far better and isn`t wobbly anymore. I was a bit worried about the fast setting mortar stuff but it seems ok
I have more washing to put out shortly as i`ve taken the covers off the doggy beds and washed those too. I`ve put the parasol up over the garden table so that i can see the screen on the laptop and i`ve had a nice lunch of leftover thai curry and rice with grapefruit juice to wash it all down. I could sit here all day but i have tons more to do. I think that i shall do a bit more outside as it`s so nice but i shall need to clean and hoover the bedroom at some point before i put the bedding back on the bed.
PenPen - i am probably one of the people who forgot to wish your DD happy birthday but no offence was intended, i generally get to the end of the thread and have forgotten most of it as my memory is shocking. Its so bad sometimes my DH says i should see the doctor:o i do have to survive using notes left for myself a lot. Sorry.
I`m off to get some more jobs done.
Enjoy your day peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Hi all, not caught up yet , will do so later.
Died of a hangover all day yesterday from my OS outing on Sat. Went up a big hill and sat for about 4 hours overlooking Belfast. Drank a few ciders which lead to the hangover but it was beautiful. Next time i wil take pics. Watching the sunset was amazing but my legs are killing me fromthe walk up there!
Tie dyed some white tops last night so waiting to see how they turn out. Was dying to "unwrap" them this morning, but thought better to leave all dya while at work. Will maybe post pics depending on successfullness. It's dead exciting though.
gorgeous day here in Belfast, so nice I would like to go home, seems a shame to be ina n office on a day like this!
Hugs to all.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Afternoon everyone :hello:
Haven't posted for a few days as I've been up to my eyes.
Got back from hols on Saturday. We had a great time and it was brilliant to see so much of Pink. :j Spent the day in Glasgow visiting a funfair and had a lovely meal overlooking a pretty loch. Didn't get home until past 11pm.
Yesterday should have been spent unpacking but the garden was calling me so i spent the day there instead.
Planted on my toms and strawberries and weeded and fed the borders. also tgot alot of stuff ready for the gardening club.
All that meant a late BBQ tea and late night swishing in the kitchen.
I'm just finished my housework jobs downstairs and need to get up to do the bedrooms. The spare room is unpacking central but I think I may just close the door on it until tommorrow.
OH has taken the girlies out to pick up his old boat which he is selling and to get a new motor for the new one. Then the dreaded boating season starts again.
While they have been out I have....
Washed the bay windows in the kitchen and living room
Hoovered downstairs
watered all plants inside and out
emptied diswasher
2 loads washed and on line
bathroom deep cleaned (a man on his own for 11 days does not maketh and nice bathroom;))
washed kitchen and dining room floors
cleaned the hearth.
When they all get back we're heading to the beach for a couple of hours as Dtwin2 is desperate to swim in the sea again.
Tea tonight will be a huge sea trout which was a freebie from one of OH's clients. I think I'll just do new pots and salad with it.
I have just scanned the thread but...
belated birthday wishes to little Miss Penguin.
Good luck with the Lily beetles Beth. I had them last year and they can decimate a lily in days.
Sorry for your loss Nic. x

Having the trouble with page refreshing too...pain!
Penny....I don't normally do congrats except to posters....wasn't on line for your DDs birthday anyway....sorry if you stop posting.
Happy birthday Lame Wolf:bdaycake:don't eat all the cakes today!
Off in a minute to visit ill relative, then to have coffee with a cousin....will be back in time to cook dinner, think I will barbecue the steak, weather is beautiful here today....washing on line, all plants watered....discovered that DD4 had dumped my calla lilies while I was away, have salvaged them from compost bin and will separate and sow in pots in greenhouse to be ready later on to plant out...or just put out the pots if I am really feeling lazy!
Lots of lovely spinach for to-night's dinner, I really love it, especially when it is freshly picked
Have a good day all

Just scoffing an egg sandwich for my lunch. Enjoyed my French lesson-there were only 3 of us plus the teacher, we're really getting our money's worth. Only trouble is there probably won't be enough of us for the class next term to run and we may have to join the evening class which will be a shame as I love going in the middle of the day.0 -
Good Afternoon everyone all the tinies except ys have gone to school and life has returned to some form of reality.Shame really as we had such a good weekend. The weather here is absolutely fabulous again and is definitely getting hotter.BM has been on and YM has just been emptied and the yoghurt is draining. We like our yoghurt very thick.I'm going to make some ice cream in a bit to go with fruit for the kids pudding.I've got some LO beef stew in the fridge that they can have for tea.I'm going to have salad as I indulged in a pie at lunchtime.
Penpen-Sorry I cant even remember whether I even posted on Friday and last week was so busy that I only skimmed the daily every day and must have missed your daughter but belated birthday wishes to Miss Penpen and hope she had a good time
MSD-Glad you heard from Tristan no matter how briefly
