Hi,
I unlocked my nokia 3310 that was on virgin and got the message "SIM restriction off" but when I put in a giffgaff SIM (o2) it says SIM not valid. I tried another code but it said “you were not restricted” so I’m pretty sure it is unlocked but looks like Virgin has some other way to stop you moving on.
I’ve read that you need to use a 7 code, but I was only given +1 code. I also read to change the network setting from “automatic” to “manual”, but as the SIM is “not valid” it won’t give me access to the settings menu, and if I try to change it with the virgin SIM in place then it won’t give access to O2 network.
What can I do?
I’d be really grateful for your help

Hi,
Thanks for such a quick response
IMEI number is 351482201139966 and it was locked to Virgin, like I said, which uses the T-mobile network, but i do think it's unlocked now as it said "SIM restriction off" and when I ran the unlock code again "you were not restricted".
I think there's something else going on with this one, and have read of others having similar problems with virgin locked phones.0 -
