Hi jwill I have not been on in ages, im slowly plodding along. We have got all baby essentials now so im pleased. Finances are slooooowwwwwwlllly improving! its difficult to lump big amounts on negative wealth when we need to think about baby and costs etc hoping to get an idea over the coming months! baby due august so ive got till xmas to make some good financial plans How are you and your little bundle xx

Happy pay day to me Really pleased with this pay day managed to put a good amount into savings to cover the first two months of maternity pay and some house and garden jobs that need doing before babies arrival. Then of course we have decided that in view of potentially needing icsi for child 2 it would be best to save up that amount rather than pay a credit card down more because they could decide to close the amount down and that would really scupper things! however if we catch naturally and we get safely to babys arrival we would lump the saved money on to a negative wealth. I know it sounds backwards but I kind of feel its the sensible thing to do I don't trust credit card companies lol x

I think the savings sound like a good plan, once you've got what you need you can carry on overpaying

Feeling hormonal and fed up today im been silly I know but the finances are bothering me. We live in a small place 2 bedrooms and if we require further fertility we need to save up for that so we will try naturally. My problem is I want to also tackle negative wealth save for a house and save for fertility if its needed but I cant do all 3 and that's why I am miserable if I did all 3 I wouldn't move anywhere forward because well it would take me far too long to acquire the funds. I don't really know what I am moaning at all I know is I feel down right miserable today

Morning, managed to move overdraft onto a 0% card so now instead of paying to have it open I can pay towards reducing neg wealth :-) yippee x

It's not silly Happy, I know how you feel. Little jwil was a surprise and we weren't at all financially ready, but we manage.

You are doing so well tackling the finances, and clearing stuff, so carry on as you are.

Why not save up for the fertility treatment, and then carry on paying things off. If you manage to fall naturally, you can then use those savings towards the negative wealth and you'll be in a much better place towards moving house.

Morning jwill I've decided to clear a credit card for fertility they won't just close it down in one swoop and if need be we can save if we get pushed that direction. I would save but I don't want access to it because I would en up using it and if it clears a cc it's one less payment to think about isn't it. I spend half my time looking at spreadsheet and trying to plan so far in advance I can't predict the future lol but it makes me feel like I am in control. There's more to life than money but it does help lol xx
