this is a long shot but could the reason you got your online banking took away was cos you had the account preBR so they have put extra limits on your account?

Could be - which is why I'm waiting to see what happens to yours over the next few weeks once they slap the BR marker on your account too :)

I've been discharged for over 18 months now, so hopefully internet banking should be OK.

I can apply and see what happens anyway. If they won't let me have it I will create one hell of a fuss. ;):p

    Exactly. :)

Plus I'm fed up with not having a debit card. I could open the Co-op account, but I would rather have the slightly better connect card.

I'm wondering whether Sieve's account was temporarily frozen or perhaps someone marked his account once they were aware of the bankruptcy, and as such online banking was suspended (perhaps by someone who doesn't know that you are now allowed online banking).

I've had the account for about a month now, with a connect card, online banking and even the little PINsentry device (which the Co-op are now doing). I opened my account three months after bankruptcy (and I'm still bankrupt).

I bumped into manager today whilst in branch and asked about internet banking being withdrawn for BR customers. He said he has never heard of it happenning but said it may be possible if head office make the decision
