I had a run in with thes a*** holes last yr, wat was meant to be a romantic weekend away with my then boyfriend turned into a nightmare. I parked at changegate car park and brought an all day parkingt ticket for £4, mr ted evans asked if i wanted to buy one of his novels i said no ty politely, my bf n i went for lunch wen i came back they had clamped my car i was left stranded un yorkshire fir a week trying to sirt it out i refused to pay £90 few choice words between i call garethe evans a t*** nxt thing he slapped £240 on topn towed my car. Cutting long stiry short i managed to get back home to buckinghamshire waited for clamping ban to come into force went back up n the !!!!!!!s ripped out bertha's steering colum n pulled out wiring. Police refused to help i lost a perfectly good car to them. I contacted press n media n not 1 person would help or do a report. I set up a face book page called changegat park park haworth video footage and photographic evidence is all there. All the police said was tht they would charge me for public iffence cuz i seore on MY FACEBOOK page...wat a bloody joke. Cant deal with these a*** holes at moment as i have more important issues to worry abt.

You cant be charged for swearing on facebook.
  • Well, now that you know where he lives you could always send him a letter or something.

Really? Telecommunications Act 2003, iirc, applies to electronic messaging as well - and one of its clauses defines sending abusive or threatening messages, but depends on whether the Act classes Facebook as a messaging system in the same way as it would class email.

Damn it. I was in Haworth 2 weeks ago.I thought they had stopped their little tricks. Even approached by some bloke trying to flog me the book, which I declined. I was decent and bought a ticket - more fool me!!!
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D

  • Heard from someone who got a ticket from these scum and they tried to 'intimidate' him into immediate payment and made out to refuse to let him leave until he paid.

He was well informed of his rights and not afraid [he can handle himself], but he said it was a pretty intense experience even so.

So god knows how many people they are now intimidating into paying before leaving.

    Scum....total scum.

  • I too, had an unpleasant altercation with this bloke in changegate car park who was in the process of issuing a Parking Charge Notice to my car, but I dealt with it in a slightly different way.
I was with my sister and after he told me I could pay 60 quid on the spot, I waited till he walked away and then told my sister to go stand by his car which was parked at the entrance. I walked up to the car, brandishing 6 crispy tenners and he was out that car like Lynford Christie, his beady eyes on my money....but I walked past him and I gave the dosh to my sis and we drove home....THEN (this is where the fun really starts) I bought some of those serviettes that look like 10 pound notes, used them to change my granddaughters very smelly nappy, and popped them in the post to the address on the notice 1st Class....
