I hope they do try blocking in because that's illegal as well as clamping.
Unless they are 'just' shutting the gate and then obtaining the money with menaces.
This needs looking at - but the local Police have been as useless as a chocolate teapot over the years.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

would it be possible for them/him to block someone in until they pay the £60, if they refuse, call the police for theft ( of goods/services) then unless the indivdual pays up, they are charged by the local police?
iirc it's not theft....it's trespass.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
What about him employing some sort of barrier or gate that didn't allow people to leave unless they pay. Similar to what some super market car parks have ... one gate in and one gate out.0

I think some sort of trading standards sting team needs to look at this and I wonder why they haven't?0

Unless its changed from this a gate or barrier is not going to work

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Most of these "tickets" will be for not parking in the marked bays.Je suis Charlie.0 -
I do think these scum will frighten and intimidate toursits etc into coughing up.
I would suggest some covert wearable cameras would be an excellent investment in proving such intimidation for the police [who will proceed to do SFA will it].Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Yes they have the same tactic as the councils .. ie. pay within x days and the amount is halve.
This practice is racketeering and why isn't it being dealt with? These conmnen should spend a life sentence for this unpleasent fraud.0 -
On a final note(I'm bored now),people who hate the Evans outfit are neither "wingers" or "do gooders", just decent. Evans does not know what that means. He nor his family ever admit wrongdoing. Edward particularly has gone to extraordinary lengths to get his vile brood an escape from justice, even lie when one of them tries to kill him,the same one who goes on to try to kill his own children. He really needs locking in the attic. The family inspired the characters from The League Of Gentlemen,(Tubbs & Edward) especially the mother, who said on a documentary that the people of Haworth "leave a lot to be desired". She even looks like Tubbs.0
