Marshallka, when the GP received the results of the Blood test, im sure there are several factors he has too look at, at there are so many different levels of this and that, that are tested within the same test, if you follow me.
Hope wverything works out ok.

Bet you can't wait for the FSCS to get their act together and get these cheques out to you all. I have a good feeling tomorrow is the day. I have been flicking through everyday and have noted that you are all still waiting BUT cheques ARE on their way... lets hope its tomorrow.:j
I am hoping FOS get back to me tomorrow also. They told me by the end of the week hopefully but I doubt it will be.:rolleyes:0 -

Mum went to see dad today, and he was very happy, quite logical as well.....:T:T, calm and more himself, so hoping and praying with these new meds, that they will work.
The Social worker was also there and spoke to mum, said they are going ahead with the meeting tomorrow, so mum and one of my sister's are attending, they still want dad assessed for section act 3, this way he will be entitled to more help on the treatment side of it, good in a way I suppose, and another guy that my dad knows and remembers from the 1970's came in as a patient (bless)........and dad is so chuffed to see him, he now has someone more his age group with him, so that will help as well.:T:T.
I should know more after the meeting tomorrow, so will post up to let you know.:beer:XXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi marshallka, sorry to hear you are so worried about your daughter. Hope she will be sorted soon.
don't know much about this only that I have pernicious anemia and have B12 injection every 3 months. Folic Acid one a week. Appararantley with PA something to do with the stomach lining does not absorb B12 and this is why it has to be supplemented.
I d get very tired when I am due for a jab, but other than that not too much of a problem really.
As for discussing it with your GP.I would say always trust your instinct, and don't leave anything to chance. esp were your kids are concerned.
I have read the info you received and thought it was rather indepth for a lay person like ourselves. I also think they have given the worse case scenario.
I think this info will make you worry, more than is really necessary.
Good luck and I hope you get it sorted soon. The most important thing is you are on the case, and you being you will not let it go until you get it sorted.
xx
I only just noticed this post busbyh. Sorry you also have PA. That is what I think my sis has (she has large red cells and got bigger over 4 years and now found out she is b12 low). She has lost 2 stone in 2 months. As regards my daughter this has been ongoing since age 3 and she has been admitted with what they thought was sinister being like menengitis rash (same thing) bleeding under the skin, 4 times now (but had it lots of times) . Our docs don't know what to do other than admit her but now since last time we have a letter which we have to give to schools etc that states if she is systematically well then do not admit. They did bloods and they were fine always BUT now things are showing although (iron can be from bleeding disorders) and with her having her first nose bleed then along with bleeding under the skin at the same time they want her seen by a specialist now to do the tests that the blood place in america said (platelet functions etc). Just hope things are just a simple explanation like you say.;)
I do panic with it cause when all is said and done she bleeds...... She also has other things which is low BP from sitting to standing and terrific migraines... it may just be something simple.
And I will worry about my kids as long as I have a hole in my !!! as the saying goes.... lol0 -

Hi marshallka, it must be a real worry for you. How old did you say your daughter is?
As for worrying about them , I must be the worlds worse for that, as you know mine are 34 and 31, still worry myself silly. you know, I sit here worrying about money etc for my youngest, and with her losing her job etc,:o when lets face it, health is far more important. At least she has that on her side.
Must say I have not lost weight with the PA,(unfortunately);) To be honest is not much of a bother other than being a bit more tired, saying that, I am due too retire next MArch. Not sure if I am ready for that though, may go on partial and reduce my hrs from 30 to 18. I need to keep my brain active to be honest(what's there is of it):D:D
I do hope you get her sorted soon and once you have been to the hospital, they will sort her out and make her better

I wonder how many cheques will arrive in the post tomorrow. I am behind with everything really but trying to help out when I can.
Has anyone had one this week at all? How many are left for the FSCS? I know you and Di are still waiting but it has been confirmed they are on their way but how many others waiting?
Sorry to hear about your daughters job loss soon. I bet the cheque will be a godsend then. Lets hope its soon busbyh (just trying to catch up). You are a good mum.0 -

Such a worry for you. You shouldn't concern yourself with our problems, you have enough to deal with yourself, but we are always grateful to you.I'm sure if it was really serious they would not wait until Dec for Hospital appointment.
I think it was just sandzb who rcd cheque this week. Mine hasn't been confirmed it's on it's way yet, i was just told deloitte have completed and it would be sent to FSCS shortly!
My daughter has her job until March, so hopefully something will turn up for her

Isn't that lovely that he’s so happy to see his wee pal, great medicine and every little bit helps. I hope he’s got a good medical team nursing him, firstly for your dads well being but also for the family’s peace of mind knowing he’s being well cared for.
Your in my thoughts and prayers huni.
Take good care of yourself.

Thanks Marshallka,
What a coincidence, I was honestly just thinking about you. Sorry to hear about the distressing time you’ve been having with your daughters treatment. You must be worried sick my heart goes out to you.
I’m waiting for a lung transplant and have many close contacts within medical profession, I also used to work within Pharmaceutical Industry. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way, maybe sourcing info or research on drugs, new treatments etc.
Your in my thoughts.
