Di, I'm in the dining room on the pc, hubby in the room swearing at the tv, so I knew we were losing.
He'll be fine, Cardiff not too bad for trouble usually, my son down there most weeks.
Paul, I'm sorry that you are not well, but it hasn't affected your sense of humour by the sounds of it. Really good news that it is shrinking, let's hope it gets the message and disappears altogether. Wishing you the best of luck.

I feel happier with Jamie going to Cardiff than Newport to be honest, I remember clubbing down Cardiff and loved it. XXX

Hi everyone - hope you're all as well as can be!!

Di - thinking of you & your family ... don't worry too much about your son tonight - when I was 21 I went for a night out in Bristol and I had to telephone my dad (at 2am) to ask him to come & get me ... but I was so sqiffy all I could do to confirm my position was to say "in a phone box!"

Had my second cycle of chemo yesterday (wearing my 'thanksgiving turkey' hat) & am now also sporting a new 'hair do' - it's called the "Yul Brynner" !! Having all the usual side effects (unfortunately), including being taken to hospital last weekend with neutrapenic sepsis. Still the lump/tumor seems to be shrinking so all augurs well!!!
Hi PaulinWeston sending you big hugs and glad it is shriking. xx

I really admire your sense of humour during what can only be a traumatic time and you must be an inspiration to all. Glad that your foreign body is getting smaller Paul. xxx

My daughter is doing ok on her iron pills. No nasty side effect of the constipation yet... we are however putting wheat bran on everything she eats and also she is taking vitamin c with each dose cause they say it stops the tummy troubles and only slight up to yet. We had another trauma with her the other night in that she got back from school and has been complaining of a feeling in her knee where she says it goes numb down her leg and she was quite upset about it. She said it keeps going funny and giving way on her. ANyway me being a panicky mum rang the out of hours and they said to stop the iron until we have spoken to our docs. It was only two tabs she did not have but we went to our own docs as they wanted to see her just in case and they are sending her for physio on it. Apparently she has something that is behind the knee cap which they can feel which is quite a normal thing for a youngster but again her instincts were right. I did have a word with them about this iron thing and they say that her levels are quite low and they NEED to up them to a good level BUT they also need to do this over a couple of months as they need to check that this is not another type of anemia as with her history and other symptoms. All in all its put my mind at rest really so wanted to say sorry for being an absolute pain.

    Hi Marshallka.;)
Glad your lovely daughter is doing okay, bless her, she is going through the wars at the moment isn't she?
And her knee as well....hope she gets better very soon, give her a cuddle from me, tell her she is very brave indeed and she will get better, cheers.:A
Hopefully everything will all be sorted out very soon for you.;)

You should not have to apologise Marshallka, your a loving caring mum, and its only natural to have been feeling all over the place with all these problems.
    Keep your chin up.:A;)

Thanks Di. I think its from the fact she walks on the side of her feet a lot (me too - well mine is just the right one) and I think its taken its toll. Its apparently a normal thing and lots of young kids get it. She said she ended up quite distressed by it cause it happens even when she is sitting down now and its not a nice feeling with a numbness in the leg. She will be better after physio.

Hope you dad is getting there also with his new friend. What about christmas Di, is he coming home or not?

Bless her and you of course.;)
Yes that is common isn't it and physio does and should help, hope all goes well with that..fingers crossed. X

I spoken to one of the members of staff on the phone the other day, she said they are hoping dad will be home for xmas, or it may just be for a few hours, as they have the right under Mental Section Act 3 to hold him for up to 6 months, then its to be reviewed again.
So depending if they can get ths meds right or not really.
    Here's hoping anyway.;)

I have been googling to find more info on these acts and in a way its a good thing I suppose, because even on discharge there should be more help on hand if required.
Shame it have gone this far though, wish mum accepted the help when this was offered over a year ago.

I will let you know anyway thanks for asking.:A;)XXX
