  • Just a brief update as I doubt I’ll be able to again before Monday.

MissKJ – Definitely have a look at DooYoo, there is much more than food that you can review and you’ll find that there is some value food on there that you can review. I used to review a lot of different things many years ago but lost interest, now I’ve found my niche again.

Talking of DooYoo – I uploaded another review this morning and already my points are up to 2300, I don’t know how much money that equates to but I’ve on my way to 50,000 points for the payout. Just got to think of something else that I can review next week.

The kids and I have been to the garden centre…naughty I know as we haven’t got much money left, but the herbs needed transplanting and the kids were driving me nutty. I spent £18.67 there, the way I figure it is that once the money comes through from Music Magpie that will cancel it out, sort of.

I will be so glad when the kids go back to school next week, unfortunately DS doesn’t go back until Tuesday.

  • It’s Monday the start of a new week and also it’s now June and one step closer to DS’s birthday  and DS is off school until tomorrow due to an inset day.

Discussed with DH about party gifts for DS’s friends, my idea is to get some colouring books and felt tips or crayons and multi pack bag of chocolate and some balloons and wrap them all together, however DH is insistent on party bags as everyone does them. I told him that I am trying to find a cheaper but special alternative…I’ve got until DH gets paid before I decide but don’t know what to do for the best

On other news, I sold two items on E-bay over the weekend, so I need to post them today. I need to sort out to cd’s to send to Music Magpie too as that paperwork came through on Saturday. I’m hoping the cheque from them for the last lot I sent to them will arrive this week

The kids and I replanted the herbs that we grew, so far they have taken but I have a tendency to kill plants, even cacti so I’m not holding my breath :rotfl:

DH is having trouble with his eye again and is convinced that his retina has detached again, I’ve told him to ring the consultant and let me know what is going on.

DD has her appointment at the hospital on Wednesday for the ultrasound on her lump, he’s also going to take her bloods as well so he can check how her thyroid is acting…I’m not looking forward to this one as they are going to sedate her to do the scan.

I tried to reach my target on DooYoo of 3000 points this weekend but only managed to get to 2960, still not bad for two reviews after such a long absence from there.

My plan for today is as follows:
    • Post office
    • Park
    • Wash up
    • NSD
    • Sort through kids clothes
    My plan for this week:
    • 2 DooYoo reviews (3 would be good)
    • No unnecessary spending
    • Walk to school and playgroups as much as possible
    • Sort paperwork and shred where necessary
    • Tidy house
    • Put more clothes on e-bay
    • Clothes that haven’t sold give to charity shop
Off to get motivated, have a good day everyone and I’ll try to update later.

  • A nice sunny day here today :) and the kids and I are walking to school then DD and I are walking to playgroup. NSD today as the money for playgroup is part of the finances.

Did a review on DooYoo about this site and someone criticised that my review wasn’t a review of the site?!? Oh well you can’t please everyone. Am pleased that my points are creeping up slowly over there; I have done one review so far this week and need to get another one at some point.

A friend of mine hosts a mums and babies musical group and she is going to have a word with the lady that runs it and see if she can get me a job in September when the next lot of children join. She does three morning a week and gets paid about £90 a week for doing it and it’s term time only :D

Got a cheque from Music Magpie yesterday so that went promptly in the bank along with another load of change.

I have had to place an order with Asda for some shopping this week despite not wanting to; I didn’t realise that we’d run out of as much as we have. Next week will be different as we aren’t getting a grocery delivery, that’ll happen on the Monday that DH get’s paid.

This afternoon I need to photograph some of the kids clothes and get them on to e-bay.

Right off to school and playgroup; catch you all later and I hope you enjoy the sunshine.
  • Another nice day but can’t walk to school this morning as got errands to run, will walk to school this afternoon if it’s still sunny, so a semi-NSD.

Managed to get some of the kids clothes photographed yesterday, just got to upload those ones on e-bay and photograph the rest and get them on too

I have done one load of washing and they are currently on racks outside drying, I need to get another load in the washer before I take DS to school, then when I get back later I can then transfer the lot to the whirligig outside to dry :)

Very pleased with the herbs as they are still surviving and DH asked me where I wanted my veg plot in the garden, not too sure what I will be doing once I have veg growing but I’m going to give it a try.

I need to do another review today at some point and get that on Dooyoo.

Have a good day everyone and I’ll catch you later.
  • Just a quick update before I dash off to take DS to school.

Got to go to the hospital this morning to take DD for her ultrasound scan of her lump. Whilst in that area I'm going to get some fruit and veg from the market and have a look for a cheap quilt cover for DD's bed.

Have uploaded some stuff on e-bay but need to do the rest at some point.

Shopping is being delivered this evening.

Have a good day everyone and I'll update later if I get chance once everything has settled down.

    Hope the scan went ok.
  • Evening, just a quick update will put a proper one up on Monday when I have more time.

DD’s scan went well, she didn’t fidget enough to warrant sedation so that was a good thing and the Consultant also took some blood to check for three things of which only two I can remember, one if for her Thyroid and Calcium but am at a loss what the other one was for.

We are at DH’s works’ annual family fun day in London tomorrow, they use some big sports ground and take it over for the day and put on lots to do for the kids and provide free drinks, ice cream for the kids and food and a BBQ later in the evening, the bar they keep open until about 11pm for the ones that last that long. A good day in all, just hope it doesn’t rain like it did last year.

Managed to sell something on Amazon, after postage and fee’s though I think I made about £3; The clothes I listed on E-bay are not doing as well, out of 12, one has two listings, one has a bid on it and there is another with a watcher…I am keeping everything crossed that they all sell within the next two days.

I sent off my parcel to Music Magpie, the last lot of c.d’s out of my collection so £26 should be winging its way over here the week after next. I am going to keep hold of it and not bank it until we need it, which by the end of the month (pay) will be needed.

Have done some more on Dooyoo, so thanks to everyone lurking or otherwise that has rated them, it’s really appreciated.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend and I’ll update on Monday.
