  • Ouch! Woke up during the night to a sore shoulder blade :( I think I pulled a muscle whilst I was asleep. Never mind, the good news is that DH is on the mend with his eye so a bit less worrying going on there now :)

Have got a stash of cd’s for Music Magpie, just got to take the plunge and accept their offer for them and dig out some more of my old tat to sell. E-bay might just get another look in too with some of the old clothes I’ve got…I discovered the other day that I have 6 fleeces  in the wardrobe that I don’t wear, so I think that they can definitely go.

Also got some lemon multi surface cleaner and some kids’ mouldable soap courtesy of Tesco Home Panels that they want testing :)

Today DD and I are going to playgroup and also down the valley to the card shop to get DH a card for Friday. I thought that I might get a nice bottle of wine and we could have a nice meal together once the kids are in bed on Friday.

Yesterday was a NSD so very pleased there, could do with a few more before the end of the month but as its half term next week it is very doubtful.

I need to sort out the chicken stock that I made yesterday and get that in the freezer so I can do a risotto for the kids next month.

That’s all for now, going to get the kids motivated; will catch you all later.

Just caught up with your diary and am amazed at your determination..go you.Sounds like your plans afre going well.
  • Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement, I do feel sometimes that I am not getting anywhere.

Good news is that I have sold something on e-bay that I listed a few hours ago :D that pays for the fees, just need to sell the rest so that'll cover any postage costs. I reused a jiffy bag that I had so I didn't need to buy that.

I have decided as well that I am going to take the plunge with Music Magpie and accept their offer for the cd's..£22 is not to be sniffed at I think.

Have a good evening everyone and I'll update tomorrow.

Hi Tea - I think you are doing amazing under very difficult circumstances - so appreciate yourself for that. Good that music magpie are offering something - my CDs have been scratched to bits by the kids so no chance of that for me! Well done on getting into selling on other sites too!

Scary price for the party - but I am sure your kids will appreciate it!

Hope everything is going ok and enjoy your anniversary.
  • Thought I’d put an update on my diary despite not feeling very enthusiastic today.

Yesterday I slammed the car door on my index finger which is nicely bruised now and I’m sat here in floods of tears because my lovely mum has bought us a case of wine for our Anniversary tomorrow and because I looked at the bank account and know that we have £400 left to last us until DH gets paid on the 15th of next month!

It isn’t the be all and end all of everything, we will have some money coming in extra this month, once I receive the stuff from Music Magpie, I can get that sent off and get the cheque back from them and bank it. Next week will be as much of a NSW as possible as it is half term, the school is having a boot fair so I can flog some stuff there and make some money and I have a £10 gift voucher for Boots I can use if needed.

I found out that our 5th Anniversary is wood, so I have got a wooden peg and written on it and put it in DH’s card. Not very romantic but novel I think and we are planning on having a nice meal with a nice bottle of wine at home :)

Got four £2 coins yesterday which have gone in to the money pot, it’s feeling rather heavy now and it’s not even half full. DH has agreed that although it’s frustrating that we can’t break into it until it is full; it’s worth it when we finally do as we get to see how much we have saved over that year :D

Whilst the weather is warmish I am trying to do one load of washing a day and hanging it on the racks so it dries and thus not using the tumble drier as much.

Sorry for the moan, just feeling really fed up. I’m going to go now and change the beds before getting DS from school.

Sorry to hear that you are feeling down at the moment. That's a good idea about the bootfairand that should bring some pennies in.
I think that the peg idea is a romantic idea.I'm sure your DH will treasure it.Those £2 coins sure mount up don't they?...bet that will be a really exciting time counting that up.
  • Morning everyone and anyone who lurks and posts on here, I am not going to let anything or anyone get to me today :hello:

Today is my anniversary, 5 years and he still puts up with me :happylove Gave DH his card with the peg and he seemed slightly bemused by it (I think he is convinced now that I am totally batty!)

Got to take DS to the doctors today as he’s got an infection in his toe and it’s gone nasty, I think a course of antibiotics being taken over the next few days will be in order :(

Six mums have said their kids can go to DS birthday party next month, have a feeling that this is going to be one heck of a party.

Heard from the hospital about DD and they will do the scan on the 4th June.

Still not sold anything else, so need to try and find something that will go.

Still haven’t booked my slot at the boot fair, will do that this afternoon. Please will someone kick up the bum if I haven’t done it :o need to gather a list of everything that we can get rid of.

    List for today:
    • DS doctors
    • DD playgroup – if we have enough time when we come out from Doctors
    • Shopping being delivered
    • Wine from mum being delivered
    • Dinner to make
    • Washing to do
    • Kitchen to clean
That should keep me busy for a while.

Right off to get motivated, see you later.
