Afternoon all,
Postman has been and brought the Tesco Clubcard vouchers, these I have put aside towards Christmas grocery shop.
Got the paperwork through from esure for the home insurance so very pleased there.
Will be pleased when DH gets paid, I know that it'll clear the O/D but I plan to try and sorted on what the finances for the month and see what I can do to tweak it a bit more so we have some money left at the end of the month when DH gets paid again....2 days to go!0 -

So here it is one step closer to the weekend. I just checked the calendar in the kitchen and have just realised that next Friday is our Wedding Anniversary  that gives me a whole week to think of what I can do to make it special as it will be our 5th
Ideas needed!!!!!
On another note, a great friend of mine who is going through a particularly nasty divorce at the moment has discovered Music Magpie and has listed lots on E-bay too, I have told her to check out Quidco too. She needs to raise some money as her ex is being a pig and will not give her any more money for the boys than he said he would despite them needing it.
I finally got my new mobile phone from Vodafone the other day, I wasn’t that bothered about an upgrade, despite my old phone being steam powered but when they rang they gave us a better deal than my old one at a lesser amount each month and a free new phone we couldn't resisit.
Today we have Virgin Media coming, we were having problems with BT and the phone line so did a check with VM and we are getting a better deal there too and thus saving us some more money
Today may or may not end up a NSD, if VM get here early enough and get done and dusted quick enough then DD and I can go and get some veg and fruit from the market; on the other hand if they arrive at 1pm then we have no chance of going to the market and therefore will end up a NSD and the market will wait until Saturday.
Got plenty of housework that I can be getting on with today.
Catch you all later, have a good day everyone.0 -

Evening all,
I have sold another book on Amazon this afternoon, that the fifth thing through them in the past week.
I am going to go through all my old cd's and get rid of the ones that I don't listen to anymore, that should generate some money.
Hope everyone has had a great day today.0 -
Pay day for DH today, his expenses went in the bank as well
Payment to SiL has come out so I can alter my sig later and the expenses payment can come off the c.c when it arrives.
It is now another month until DH gets paid again and the start of another attempt to stay within the budget  I can foresee much more selling happening especially as I discovered Music Magpie last night and am impressed with what they are offering me for my tat.
So the plan for the next few weeks is to have as many NSD’s as possible whilst organising and paying for DS’s 5th birthday party
DD has her friend coming over for lunch and playtime today, so two two year olds running around for a few hours causing mayhem and havoc should be fun. DD and I have playgroup this morning too.
The big monthly shop is coming this evening and I have a book to post this morning too.
Thinking about the finances, theoretically we should be financially better off from now on due to the changes we made to cut costs and save some money. I think that it might take until June’s pay day before we figure out if anything we did last month had any effect
Sorry for the ramble, but I need to get some act together if we are to still have some money left when the next payday rolls along.
Before I forget, yesterday was another NSD

Hi PT, just caught up with your thread and you're doing such an amazing job in really poo circumstances.
Wondered if this would help with DS's party. When my small boy (now 5'10") was smaller we invited his whole class, girls and boys, to his birthday party. Booked council sports hall, price is now around £20, and they all ran around like maniacs for 2 hours playing footy, hockey (hmmm) basketball, races etc. At the end instead of party bags my mum turned up in a posh frock and hat and presented each and every one with a medal, shook their hand and said she'd been very impressed (she'd been there 10 minutes). Total party bag cop out - £4 - medals come in a pack 6 for a pound. They loved it and we got a great photo of the kids, medals and posh lady!!

Another week has begun and no rain (yet!). DD has her friend coming over this morning whilst his mum goes to see the solicitor, so much chaos and mayhem happening after the school run.
DH is back at the consultant this morning as he has been having problems with his eye. Poor thing is not in the least bit happy but he’s not just leaving it and hoping it’ll get better he’s giving in to my nagging and going to see the consultant to have things checked out.
Heard from DD’s consultant regarding her lump and he’s going to do an ultrasound and take some bloods from her during half term.
Managed to book DS’s birthday party, granted it cost £115 and doesn’t include food but I know that the place is okay and secure and I will see if I can recoup that money back over this month some how…need to formulate a plan me thinks!
I plan to try and log back in to Dooyoo and start with the reviews again. I may have to do a new account though if I can’t find my old log in details.
I need to go through some more of my CD’s and see what else there is that I don’t want anymore or could possibly part with for the moment with the view to re-buying it in the future.
Friday is also our Wedding Anniversary
so must go to the card shop at some stage, what do you give someone for 5 years of marriage? I thought it was paper???
Right must get motivated I guess and get DS to school; have a good day everyone.0
