  • We have done the biscuits, they don't look very much like the shapes they were when they were put in the oven but they taste okay :)

The anaestatist (sp?) sent his invoice to us instead of the insurers so I need to send that on to PruHealth...£180 for 2 hours work

I've been asked to meet up with some old colleagues on Friday night for a drink but the shopping's being delivered then too, so not sure if I should go or not...I know DH could put it away but like the bed...I have to do it or it just won't be right, one of my parculiarities you could say

  • Morning everyone nearly pay day.

Today is the day we go to the Science Museum, I was going to catch the bus to the train station with the kids but as it is perpetually heaving it down outside we are going to risk it and move the car and drive there. It costs £4 to park in the car park at the train station but there is a side road so I am going to see if there are any spaces there and hopefully save that money. I can foresee my budget going out the window today but will do my best to ensure that it is as cheap a day as possible.

We ended up having burgers and chips last night instead of what we were going to have, so I have got the chicken out this morning and we are going to have peppercorn chicken tonight instead, I can get it made when we get back home again.

DH has taken the biscuits to work that we made yesterday, so that’ll be interesting to see what they think of the weird shapes lol.

Have a good day everyone and I’ll update when we get back.

  • Hey just seeing how your getting on, looks like your having fun with the trip and stuff =)
  • Back and what a long day it has been, still the kids had fun and it stayed dry. We got there at 10:30am and left at 2pm, there was such a lot to see that we just didn’t have time to see everything, so another trip may be in the wings for the future.

We didn’t do the bus, it was impossible to try and find the right one so the kids and I went on the underground which as DD wasn’t in the pushchair it ended up being fairly easy.

Despite using the car, I still managed to park when I came back albeit I have had to park almost bumper to bumper with next door.

In total I spent £11.40 and I nipped to Tesco’s on the way back and bought some cheap wine and carrots and spent £9.06 from the grocery money.

I have gone over budget on my weekly spends but I am not going out tomorrow as I have a delivery coming with presents for DD for her birthday and a toaster which for the moment we have put on the credit card, I will get DH to balance transfer May next year when it runs out.

I still haven’t filled up the car and will do that on Sunday on my way to DS’s friends’ birthday party.

Hypno – I hadn’t thought about doing a review of it that gives me something to think about and hopefully will kick start off my next lot, thanks for the idea :)

Off to feed two hungry and rather irritable children, catch you tomorrow.

Sounds like a lovely day was had.Hope DH enjoyed his biscuits and that you have a good evening.
  • Friday and DH has been paid….yippeeee! And we are £56 in credit in the current account.

There are some payments to come out, so we won’t be in the black for that long, still it looks nice on paper.

Usual stuff, I need to save money again this month. A bit more of a determination than last month, I am stopping any unnecessary spending and trips to Tesco’s, so if I do any unnecessary spending, feel free to slap me!

DH’s work colleagues enjoyed the biscuits that we made, so that was good.

We have the big shop order coming this evening (£218.33) and I need to place another one for next week so that we have some party food for DD’s birthday party.

    Plan for today:
    • Wash up
    • Do at least two loads of washing
    • Hoover
    • Colouring with the kids
    Have a good day everyone.
