Afternoon everyone,
Well playgroup was a success and didn’t cost anything for DS as first thought.
Went round to the post office and posted the book £1.24 so made 20p profit but it all helps, and spent 72p on chocolate for the kids, they’ve both been rather good lately so they deserve a treat. I originally took £3 out of the savings pot to pay for it but as I wasn’t sure if I’d have to pay for DS withdrew £10 cash back.
I still have the £10 as they didn’t charge for DS and the change has gone into the demi-john.
Going to count up all my 20p’s and see how many I have as they might be worth putting in the bank tomorrow, I think I’ll also have a count of the change in the demi-john too.0 -
sounds like you are doing really well T - glad you are still getting to playgroup.

SH - Good luck for the interview tomorrow, I'm sure that you'll be fine.
On the DD front - she's not gone back on the toilet since first thing this morning, early days but I'm hoping that she'll do it again instead of her pull ups on her.
I've counted up the change hanging around and we have saved £16 so that'll go in the bank tomorrow whilst we are in the valley.
I've stripped the chicken from Sunday and it has gone in the freezer, DH wants me to do a chicken and veg pie one day, so I will do and the frozen carcass will do for stock sometime.0 -
purple £16 is a fiar amount are you going to buy a treat with it or do you have other plans for it?0
-
I'm tempted to transfer it over to the online saver incase it's needed during the next month, but I'm not too sure.
My £2 coins are up to £14, so a few more and then I can bank them too.
I have an online savings account with A&L that I opened to get the Quidco cash, does anyone know whether you can credit the account over the counter or does it have to be online?0 -
Half way through the week and is it me or is it dragging???

The lamb hotpot was cack last night, I tried some casserole lamb from Asda instead of what I normally do and it was horrible. Won’t be doing that again in a hurry!
Anyway on to today, I need to use the car today as I have some errands to run but hopefully we’ll be back in time that next door won’t have moved their car forward…I can live in hope?
Our toaster finally gave up last night, for a few days it wouldn’t catch when you pull the lever down and you had to hold it for a few seconds then it would but now it won’t at all, so I need to get a new one.
Plan for today:- Bank - Closed so will try again tomorrow
- Boots for pull ups for DD and Nytol for DH - Done
- Morrisons for ingredients, milk, cheese and toaster - Done
- Wash up
- Make biscuits with kids - Done, just need icing and sprinkles now
- Sort dinner out for this evening – peppercorn chicken I think?
Have a good day everyone.0 -

Back again, next door didn’t move their car so I managed to park okay when I got back.
Tried the bank but it doesn’t open until 10am on Wednesdays so will try again tomorrow.
Grocery wise I have spent £22.92 and off my weekly spends for the week I spent £8.94. I still didn’t get a toaster as the only one they had was a small horrible one that didn’t look like it would last 2 minutes.
Not venturing out anymore today as it is supposed to be raining later.
One of the mums that we are going to the Science Museum with has bailed out saying that she’s not well, so I need to see if the other mum still wants to go. We can still take a picnic with us and I will still use the bus as I don’t want to move my car unnecessarily.
Off to make biscuits now

We always seem to get given toasters as presents and they always give up the ghost - the last one kept shorting out and knocking out all the electricity in the house:eek: So we just use the grill now.
Making biscuits with kids is great - our staple "baking" is bun cakes - do two batches making 24 and they last, oooh, a couple of days in our house, OH is a big kid and likes a stash in his pack up:D I also figure that if I get them helping in the kitchen now then I can enlist them to make dinner when they're a little older! Also I plan them in when doing menu plans for snacks and means I don't end up buying lots of sweet stuff.
Good work on the list - excuse the formatting as baby "helping" me type - well hes eatin/g€ t€he corner of the computer whilst playing with the keys
