glad to hear that she's ok and feeling quite herself x
  • Happy weekend to those who lurk and post on my boring diary.

Didn’t get chance to post yesterday as we had my friends two boys over, four kids in the house all under five….chaos ensued but at least they had fun.

Going to do a car boot sale tomorrow in the hope of getting rid of even more tat and the remaining tat from the last one.

I am using a new spreadsheet courtesy of Katy_M, which so far is proving to be a god send, I am always on the look out for a new way of doing things and this one is working for me, doesn’t make us any more in the black at the moment but we aren’t as bad as last month from looking at this.

Good news, I have sold something on e-bay and another thing on Amazon, the clothes that I have hanging about I need to get to the charity shop as I am not re-listing them again for the third time.

DD is on the mend, apart from a little bit of discomfort which is to be expected she’s back to her cheery self, so that’s one less worry. Just got DH to sort out now.

Have a nice weekend everyone and I’ll update when I can.

The start of a new week, DH has gone back to work today and after speaking to him earlier the company he works for have won another job so he’ll be at the current site 3 days a week and the other one 2 days a week and then as the job progresses he will end up full time on the new job which runs until the end of November :j

As for the car boot sale…disaster so to speak, I only made £20 of which we used £10 at the pub so the kids could have a run around and DH could finish his week off happy and relaxed.

DD lost her Bengy lion somewhere yesterday :( so she is currently wandering round thinking that it is in the washer getting clean. The kids and I are retracing our steps today to see if we can find it, if not I will need to buy a new one. As my SiL got it from France I have found another one on a French website, however it will be interesting if I need to buy her another one as I don’t speak or read one bit of French

The dvd I sold on Amazon I need to post today and I need to go to Tesco’s. I have £7.57 coming into the current account from Quidco due to a pay out.

My plan today is as follows:
    • Post office - Done £1.80 spent
    • Tesco’s – nappies and cake making ingredients, low spend needed :o - Done £19.79 spent but did include food for dinner during the week
    • Wash up - Done
    • Bengy hunting – fingers crossed it turns up - Did some ringing round and have located him
    • Possibly cake making although DS wants to make DH a present - Cakes done and some for a picnic tomorow.
My plan for the week is as follows:
    • NSD’s or low spend days
    • Meal plan for the week
    • Surveys as much as possible
    • Try and get Dooyoo reviews kick started again
    • Shopping being delivered on Thursday evening
Have a good day everyone, off to get motivated and get to the post office; will update later.

    Hello, Tea,

so pleased to hear that DDs op went well & that she didnt seem to suffer any after effects.

We too have been through trauma of losing the favourite toy. DD1 lost 'monkey' on the bus or so we thought, Then about a week later we went to the post office & he was sat amongst all the jars of sweets waiting to be reclaimed :j.

Shame about the boot sale, from what I've been hearing it seems to be a very slow market at the moment :(

    Enjoy your day

    lula
    xx
  • Just a brief update before I dash out with the monsters.

I did some retracing of our steps yesterday and after some ringing around I have located DD’s Bengy, so we are going off on a hunt to get him and reunite him with her and her other toy ‘OO, OO’ the red monkey, they always go together.

I did spend too much in Tesco’s which was rather naughty of me, but I did manage to get cake stuff and got some meat for dinner during the week.

Playgroup tomorrow has been cancelled until next week so that’ll save me some money until then.

Lula - Cheers for the PM hun, will come back to you about it. You can have the seeds anyway, just let me know your addy.

    Laters xx

DS was a pain in the bum yesterday which we put down to tiredness, as he’s not awake yet I think that was a good conclusion – ah, nope he’s awake now, at least he seems happier now.

Today should theoretically be my first NSD of the month; we are going to the park for a picnic with a friend of ours and I do not need to buy anything.

I worked out that DH gets paid next week, so have done the monthly shop, we have a small delivery coming this Thursday so that plus the main shop, we should be okay for food for a while.

The week after, DD is having a small birthday party for her 3rd birthday. We have about 8 kids coming and as she won’t touch party food we have got her party from 2-4 pm so she can have some proper lunch and won’t feel like she’s missing out.

I have been studiously keeping an eye on the finances this month and despite having extra money paid into the current account we are doing quite well. As I said in an earlier post, I need to try and make even more money next month using a variety of different methods so that we aren’t skint totally.

Plan for the month following DH payday:
    • Surveys
    • E-bay
    • Car boot sales
    • Quidco – going to buy DD’s birthday presents via this.
    • NSD’s and weekly spend targets
    • Save change & £2 coins
Checked online banking and some payments have come out but no surprises so far so that’s a blessing.

On to today, the plan is as follows:
    • Wash up - Done
    • Change kids beds - Done
    • Wash at least two loads - 3rd load in washer
    • Park for picnic - Slight change of plan
    • Sort something for dinner - Spicy meatballs and spaghetti
That should keep me busy for a while; have a good day everyone and I’ll update later.

Organised? Me? Looks good on paper but I find it hard to put it in to practise a lot of the time.

Weather here is going to be dry but not very warm.

    Enjoy your day. x
