  • Mega confused now! First of all, my mum sent me a text to ask if she was coming out with us when she comes down to visit. I explained that I thought she was babysitting? She then text back to say that she got confused and when I asked her if she was still okay to do it, she said yes but thought she was coming with us. I spoke to DH and we have managed to get a babysitter with a friend of ours and I let her know and now she’s saying it is doubtful she’ll be able to come down now because of all the carp at work!

I would love to see her and even spend an unplanned evening with her but can’t figure out what is going on. I need to book soon, hence the mega raising of money as it is £26 per head for the evening.

I think that I need to talk to her tomorrow when she’s at home to figure out what exactly is going on.

On the upside, I’ve sold four things on e-bay today and one on Amazon :T
  • Sorry for the rant earlier but I just needed to write it down. She now said sod it and she's coming down anyway and she'll babysit? I told her I'll talk to her tomorrow. Parents!

Both kids have driven me batty so I have contacted a friend of mine and we are going to share a coke at the pub for an hour so I can cool off, she's drinking and I'm driving. I was trying to get another friend of mine to come but her hubby's working late...Boo!

Paypal is looking nice and healthy now, going to do some more Lightspeed surveys and see if I can redeem anything that way to bulk it up a bit.

    Small steps, small steps...
  • Well after yesterdays fun and games today so far seems very sedate so far apart from DS being argumentative. I didn't go to the pub in the end as DH got back late due to trains being delayed because someone threw themselves under a train.

Lloyds seem to have caught up with the online banking and I now know how much in the red we are and how much we have left until we hit the overdraft limit. More money making to be done over these next few weeks I think…I need to go at it full pelt instead of plodding along like before.

Today is DD’s final time at regular playgroup, so we have bought some chocolate for the kids that go there. It is a shame and I will miss going as much as she will miss the friends she’s made but that’s life I guess. One thing though is that the free playgroup round the corner is open during the summer holidays and both kids can go there two mornings a week from next week.

    Plan for today:
    • Playgroup
    • Wash up
    • Sort washing out
    • Find something for dinner
    • NSD today
DH took the remainder of the chicken casserole from Wednesday that was in the fridge as well as some bits to go with it for lunch. As much as I hate making sandwiches I am going to get in to a routine and make DH sandwiches every day from next week unless he’s being bought lunch of course.

Whilst I think about it, this month there is still £25 from Pure Profile to go in the bank that should happen over the next two weeks with any luck.

Off to get motivated and Happy Friday everyone, will update later when I get back.

Morning and happy weekend. DH has gone to work, site not flying club they heading towards the end of the job and it’s a case of everyone mans the station so to speak. He’ll be home early this afternoon he’s hoping but as they’ve shut Victoria it might take him just a while longer.

I have tallied up what I spent this week and I set myself a target of £20 and came 10p over, so not too bad; £20 set for next week too.

I have checked online banking today and no surprises there.

A lot of the e-bay items are due to finish between today and early tomorrow morning. I need to get some more photographed today so that I can upload them. I really want to hit payout level on Paypal as that’s much needed money this month :o

Yesterday was a NSD so very happy there :D

    Plan for today:
    • Wash up - Done
    • Play with the play-doh with the kids - No need they occupying themselves
    • Weekly pub visit - Off to aerodrome first with bikes then pub when DH home
    • Photograph kids clothes
Also I have been thinking, the place that MOT’d my car last year I might get them to do the service on it as well. Previously we have taken it to the dealership to service it but last years proved to be very expensive £500+ so I figure an independent garage can’t be that expensive?

Off to get motivated, have a good day everyone.
  • I thought that I'd post an update.

I have redeemed £1 from Lightspeed this morning so that should hit my Paypal account next week.

Also have withdrawn £8 from hubby's Paypal Account, I didn't realise that they'd changed the minimum withdrawl limit; I thought that it was still £50 but it's now £6.

I was going to withdraw some money from my Paypal Account but figured I'd better leave it where it was for the moment as I've got e-bay fees to come out.

So overall very pleased with this mornings efforts.

Tea you never cease to amaze me how upbeat you are and how much you manage to get done on very little money. Well done on all that survey effort !

Parents can be a pain.... mine would relish the chance to babysit but also moan that we didn't take them out....!

Hope you manage to use it as a date night for you as a couple - from the sound of your diary - that would do you both the world of good. My OH and I have date nights or at least date lunches - we find we talk much better away from home.... and that is builds our relationship....

    Have a great weekend!

  • Hiya SH,

The weekend in question is when a friend of mine and her hubby are coming to visit too, so we are all supposed to be going out together, I haven't seen her for two years so really looking forward to it.

Managed to sell two lots of shoes on e-bay just waiting to get paid for them now, I've got to find some way of sending them too....hmm ideas needed me thinks, still it doesn't add to the clutter.

I'm looking forward to doing the next car boot on the 2nd August, it can't come soon enough.

Have a good weekend too. xx

  • lol Mum has decided that she is now babysitting and said she got her wires crossed. So it's just us two couples enjoying a night out on the tiles, we are paying as the last time we went up there she arranged with her friend who owns a B&B to put us up for the week and didn't charge us and they took us out for meals etc the whole week.
