The Consultant confirmed that DD has got a Thyroglossal Cyst and that the only way to deal with it is to remove it
Therefore as DH has medical insurance with the company he works for, DD will undergo an operation to remove the lump in the middle of August…date to be confirmed.
They won’t do it at the local hospital; she has to go to St. Mary’s in Carshalton as that hospital has the team that deals with this sort of operation. The Consultant we saw will however do the operation and he seemed fairly reasonable so I don’t have a problem with him doing it.
At least she can get over it before she starts pre-school in September
He said that she will have a small scar which won’t really be noticeable until she lifts her chin up, so that’s a good thing.
DS had a wonderful time with his best friend and didn’t want to come home...boy did I feel like a baaaddd mum bringing him home :rotfl:
G’night all and I’ll catch up tomorrow. xxx0 -
It’s Friday and thank god for that, been a hectic week this week so far. The weekend is proving to be just as busy; tomorrow DS has a birthday party to attend and Sunday I have my favourite SiL and hubby coming over for lunch

I talked to DH last night about DD and her op and although DH is as upset about her having it done as I am…he understands that she needs to have it done, he has said that he wants to be there though so we are going to ask my mate if she will once again step in and watch DS for us that day – Spent £2.90 on parking yesterday
On to today and my usual plan:- Playgroup - Been there £1 spent
- Wash up - Can't be bothered
- Washing…does it ever end?? - Nope
- Relax - Plenty done
Off to get motivated, hope everyone has a good day today and I’ll update later.0 -
Enjoy your tea.Good luck with DDs op and I can't blame your DH wanting to be there.0

Taxi - Thanks I am really looking forward to it, not had KFC for ages, will keep you posted about DD.
SH - Thanks also, as soon as I have a confirmed date I will be a bit more settled about it all I think.
I have had a distinct lack of enthusiasm since I came back from playgroup, think my body is in weekend mode already.
I have decided that once DD goes to pre-school. That first week that I am on my own I am going to spend on me and the week after I will then get into a routine.
Off to finish tidying the lounge so I can at least run the hoover round.
Doubtful that I will be on over the weekend as got a busy old time going on, so have fun everyone.0 -
Hi Tea, sorry for long absence yet again,
Glad to hear that your DD will get the op done soonish, at least then you can put it all behind you & start the new school year unhindered. Small people are far less concerend with these things than we big people

:hello: Hi purpleteas..
I've been following your diary, sorry to hear your going through all these troubles with DH and your DD. You struck a cord with me as the hospital your DD's going to go to is in my bit of the world.... I have a friend whose daughter has had a lot of treatment at this hospital and they are suppose to be very good.
Wishing you well on your journeys. x
p.s Hope you enjoyed our KFC

Monday today and one step closer to DS finishing for the holidays, perhaps rather strangely but he finishes a week on Wednesday

I have tallied up what has been spent on the grocery side of things and we are up to at least £400  this to me is diabolical and really needs to be addressed, something to do this month.
I have been having a think and I have decided that in order for me to achieve NSD’s I will not include the following:- Direct Debits and Standing Orders
- Playgroups – No more after this week
although it is a bit sad that DD is growing up and I will miss going, it will save me £2 a week. - Groceries
I think that will help me to stop panicking about it.
So on to this week, DH gets paid on Wednesday and it really cannot come soon enough
This past month has been totally manic with one thing and another so I am looking forward to hopefully not spending anything this week
Anyway on to today, my list is as follows:- Wash up - Done
- Clean hob - Nope not yet
- Washing – Priority - Done
- Sort dinner - Fajitas
- Tesco’s for fruit juice for kids - Done £1.12 spent
- Get housework up to date
- Do 2 reviews – must do as been lapse lately
- Put main grocery shopping away on Wednesday
- Playgroups – last two this week
- NSD’s
- Not to spend more than £20
Have a good day everyone, off to get the kids sorted.0
