just ordered one for me too
My printer has run out of ink and would you believe that it costs £10 more to buy this (I have wanted an all in one for a while) than a colour and a black cartridge for the Dell printer I was given for free by a mate? (Dell printer being sold or given away lol!!!) oh AND I used Quidco so get 3.5% cash back heehee

if anyone has recieved it can you confirm that all the ink cartridges come with it and it would be great if someone has checked the printer after buying from here. I will definielty go through quidco but it will be my first time through quidco. Going to buy tomorrow. Any cheap options for shipping available.
If cartridges are not included how much will they cost and which is best and reliable place to get all 4 of them...except ebay.0 -
Just read vjain's post about the Lexmark all-in-one dying just out of warranty. Happened to mine too; 14 months old - terrible crunching of cogs and belts - end of £150 printer.
Not strictly relevant to this thread but certainly worth considering if anyone is thinking of buying a Lexmark as an alternative.0 -
Hubby's just ordered one, since I threatened to throw our current one of the window."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

A quick review:
I received my printer today and all installed in about an hour. Quite fiddly but straight forward enoughP&P is free with Comet. I can confirm that the ink cartridges come with the printer for all 3 colours and a black cartridge.
It all seems to work fine! :T0 -
Went to local comet and picked this printer up the other day. I practically had to beat the sales assistant off with a stick to stop him trying to sell 'consumables' to me.
The printer is great, ultra easy photocopying and great quality scanning and fast printing.
The only snag'ette is that the decision to buy was helped by the availability of cheap ink cartridges, however, the really cheap ink emporium, mentioned earlier in this thread, seem to be having trouble getting hold of them. They are hoping to get some in later in the month, time will tell I suppose. This means I may be looking at £15 for a set of cartridges from another source instead of the £5 a set from ink emporium.0 -
Nazler. The ink emporium site does not list the DCP120 series printer, but from what I can gather they do stock the ink.it looks to be the same as the dcp100 and dcp 120 series etc.It seems that emporium does not list all the compatabilites.dcp 110 lists the cartridge as LC900BK LC900c LC900m etc,and these show as in stock.Haven't tried placing an order but it allows all into the basket.Looks like an excellent site pricewise.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

You're right about the dcp120 not being listed in its own right, but as you stated it does use the lc900 series cartridges, which did show as 'in stock' and are the ones i ordered. After 4 days or so they sent me an email stating that they were having problems getting the cartridges from their supplier. This suggests to me that 'in stock' means something different to ink emporium than it does to me.
To quote their email:
We are writing to inform you of a delay to the fulfilment of your recent
order with us for Brother compatible inks.
We have just been informed by our supplier, Print-Rite, that we will not be
receiving further supplies of this product until around 27/03/2006.0 -
Thanks for clarifing that,I ordered a printer last week and hopefully emporium will have some stock by the time I need them.
I would imagine this latest comet deal will increase the demand for the replacements therefore hopefully increase supply and reduce the price.
A reminder to all.First thing when choosing a printer find the cost of replacement inks or toners.
