Is it possible to get a cable that goes from this printer to a standard parallel port? or does this printer have a standard parallel port as well?

Whats the best way to have this shared between 3 PC's (Currently im using my Netgear FR114P router which has printer sharing capabilities but only has parallel port).

    ??????

There is no parallel port on this printer, usb only.

Dunno what operating system you're using, but in windows you can attach the printer to one of your machines and then get that machine to share the printer over the network. This machine would need to be turned on if any of the other machines needed to print.
  • I received mine today and I have to say it is the dog's biscuits, especially for £50 delivered. If you need this type of printer I would recommend you buy while you can.

Just one question, is there any consensus about the best supplier of cheap ink cartridges for this printer?

    Thanks in advance

Anyone used https://www.inkcarts.co.uk in the past ?.
I placed a order on Sunday with them and upto now no sign of the cartridges turning up.
I am a bit annoyed because on ordering a I payed the extra for recorded delivery and believed this would get me a quicker delivery.
I have emailed https://www.inkcarts.co.uk and got no reply and just sat on the phone for 5 minutes trying to speak to somebody and it appears no one is available even though they state they open 9-5 mon-fri !!.

I was going to order from inkcarts too but that doesnt sound too good. I am waiting for the printer to arrive first(tomorrow) Please let us know if you do hear from them and what happens.

Have they taken the money from your account yet?
    Thanx

    I payed with paypal.
After looking on their website it does say upto 7 days delivery but I am not that impressed to be honest and I fear they might not have the carts in stock.

If you cant even speak to them on the phone thats really bad and they should email you anyway. I was going to order 3 sets as they are giving 1 free when you buy two.

Has anyone had any from inkemporium yet as they worked out around same price from what I remember but it put me off because looking at the picture the cartridges don't look anything like the ones for this machine
    Thanx

Thanks very much to the OP for this. Our printer has just died so came on here to see if I could get a cheap new one and saw this, just ordered one and meant to be coming next Friday :j I hope they're still in stock by then!

I found one review of the printer online, which was quite positive:

and also an information sheet on the Brother web site (this is a PDF):
