ok u both know im working hard on ebay... welll some unkind person decided they didnt like their item and said it broken and put negative feedback therefore making my feedback no longer 100% but now 98.1%.
made me very sad to think she couldnt even communicate with me and not need to leave that feedback. since then i have mailed her and refunded in full the £3.00 - duh!
not to worry - just had a low spot for a min - i will bounce back into the debt fighting ring - just need to regroup.

    Afternoon lovelies,

Hope everyone is well and having fab Fridays :D

I've had an eventful day to say the least, lots of work wise but also as working from home I have managed to have a nice chat with OH and we've come up with some joint plans/aims to spur us both on towards our future. It's been a nice day all in all.

So little update as to where I am as of 24.04.09
    • Joint savings towards house etc = £250.00
    • Debt free savings = £20.00
    • Christmas 2009 savings = £10.00
    • Misc/other stuff savings = £10.00
    • Online scratch card balances together = £25.00
I'm undecided as to what to do with the online scratch card monies as yet so figure they can stay building up for now and I will withdraw them when i've made the decision as I don't trust myself to not spend the money just yet. I am thinking Christmas 2009 as will help towards the cost - big family!!

Shorter version of talk with OH. We've set ourselves the challange to jointly save £50K for our house deposit. Not sure if I mentioned before that OH does have the majority of this already (figure to be confirmed) but he will have to get the mortgage on his own (due to my dmp) and thereore the bigger deposit the better. We have set our goal as next summer, giving us some time and allows me to work from home here that little bit longer to really reap the benefits.

I'm really happy as it's been something on my mind for a while but now we have a joint goal it'll make things easier as it's always been one sided in that I knew we were going to do it and I wanted to work towards a goal whereas he was just, yep we'll sort it. Easier for him as he has the money sat there waiting. Anyhow, we're going to go for it and it's going to be fun. I am going to keep a total of the monies I put towards it from now on as a bit of a motivation tactic on my part!

I've spoken to payplan with regards to my possible working from home on perm basis and she said for now to not change payments as visits up to London too sporadic to remove travel costs and I could find myself not meeting payments etc if I have a basic wage. This suits me just fine and dandy as means I can use any money I would have spent on travelling towards savings.

    Now on to savings - I have a plan of action to save for the following;

    House - jointly with OH.
Debt payments/settlement - my aim is to save enough to settle as many as possible and then reassess situation.
Christmas 2009 - I want to save enough to pay for christmas without touching my december pay packet.
Misc - this is for those rainy days/emergencys that come up.

Ummmmmm, I am sure there is more to tell but I have forgotten.....oops :o

I'm sure anyone reading this is bored now so will stop for a bit and pop back later.

This was such a big post I had to quote it to remember what I was going to say! :rotfl:

It sounds like the talk with your OH has done you the world of good and given you some aims and goals that you feel are realistic, sometimes just that bit of direction can make all the difference! A £50k deposit would be great and give you some real peace of mind and imagine how much easier it will be once your DMP has emigrated :j Our situation is kind of the reverse, my OH is good with spending and can save very quickly but I earn more than him so really I NEED to be on the mortgage

Woprking from home must be ace, not sure I could do it as I have the memory of a goldfish and a brain like a sieve - think I would forget to work!

Well done on being so organised, I'm using you as my motivation, i hope you don't mind

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

    Morning guys,

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday mornings, it's the weekend :j Mind you don't know why I am saying that as I am working both today and tomorrow

Sorry didn't get to post again last night in end, OH and I were on a super mission and I am now proud to say that our entire flat (and I mean everything!!) has been sorted. OH has car full of stuff for charity shop, my office to be is now empty. The bedroom has been cleared, all winter clothes away and spring/summer wardrobes are out. It's amazing!!! All that's left to do is a couple of wash loads and a spruce of the two bathrooms - yay :T I'll do those today :D

It's amazing what a spring cleaned flat can do for you. I feel so much better today. Thanks to OH that started it all at 7am or so yesterday morning :T

I'm working 6 hours overtime today and tomorrow so in total I now have 15hrs and 45mins already towards my goal of 50 hours for June payday :D....well I will have by the end of tomorrow.

I have withdrawn £10 from one daily scratchcards today (thanks SH!) and that will be going in debt repayment fund.

What else......ummmmmm.......oh yes, the exciting bit of news.......

OH and I are getting a little kitten (we think ) a friend of mines cat has had little ones and i've fallen in love with the ginger and white little fella :happyhear........so they are obviously not ready to leave their mummy for a while and I should know about working from home perm soon.....if all ok I will have little 'widget' (thats what we will name him) to keep me company. Reason being OH works funny shifts and i'm often alone and I have moved away from my home town so nearest friends are 45mins-1hr drive away. I can't wait!

Right, think I have yapped enough for this morning. Best get on with some work.

    K, x

P.S - anyone else experiencing dark morning and black skies.....depressing!

So annoyed  ......just received a letter from barclay loan saying that i was behind on my arrangement!

Can't speak to anyone as payplan and barclay loans dept shut but from what I can see Payplan haven't forward payments for Nov, Dec and Jan and started paying from Feb. I think from what I can see they have changed the ref number of my loan account has changed - seems payments haven't been transferred across. I shall be on the case Monday. Sometimes I think it would be better if I sorted it all myself

Nice to hear about the kitten! Fantastic news too that you and OH have worked so hard to clear office space for you! Great news on the scratchcard withdrawal! I love the free scratchcards.... Are you doing more than one Karen - cos you can do a St Minevar Site and Take a Break? I am 48p away from withdrawing too on one!

Hope you get your DMP back under control. I am sure you will! On the forums people seem to complain more about PayPlan than CCCS - I don't know if that is scientific or not tho.... I think a self administered dmp of your size tho would be more stressful! You've had lots of positive things happen this week - try not to let this one thing burst your balloon!

Do you know what, I couldn't fault Payplan at the beginning but of late they have been a mare to get hold of, response etc. I am guessing it's because they are really busy and their workload has increased by masses.

I don't think I am quite ready to deal with things myself at the moment, maybe when I am settled a bit more and savings are on the up :D

Well done on the scratchcards - free money is fab ;)
