HI Karen - before now I have got the opticians to put my current lenses in a new frame - just a thought! also Martin does have a section somewhere on internet glasses http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/health/cheap-glasses it also gets mentioned in the forum.... If you look at shop but don't drop section of the forum you can post a question about glasses on there and someone will make suggestions....
I am amazed at how much you have done from your lists. You've tackled the hardest things first! :T Keep it up and I am sure you will soon start to see positive results :jAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

:T on getting so much done!! You are doing well at keeping busy!
I sympathise on the glasses, mine are about 5 years old, scratched to bits and are currently held together with a paper clip :rotfl: I will have to get some new ones soon and could really do with some sunglasses so I will have to investigate the costs!
Keep it up

Hey all,
Firstly thanks SH :A
jtr2803- thanks for popping by, I had a giggle at your glasses
Had my opticians appt today - FREE - yes free!!!! VisionE have just opened a new store and found a voucher for free test....woo hoo:j Only thing is, I have to go back and buy a pair of glasses, didn't have time today. Did check a few pairs out whilst waiting and think I can get it all for under £100.
As feeling a tad emotional i'm giving myself some time out/off of things to do....chilling on couch wrapped up in my big fluffy white dressing gown with a cuppa, posting here and watching tv.
Have a nice evening all, x0 -
I'm glad my glasses gave you a giggle, I sometimes wonder what on earth people think of me when they clock me with my home repaired glasses and black trousers that are 2 sizes too big, I must look like a dork (dork is such a great word...so descriptive!!)
I am sorry to hear you are feeling down about your debts and the problem it causes with broodiness. I must say its one of the things I have used to really kick myself into gear. I know if I want more children (have one DD who is 9 in August, I can't belive she is nearly 9!!) then it can't be until my debts are clear and I have some money behind me. I have a lot of respect for people who wait for the right time and situation so that they are able to provide a stable and loving home and when the time comes I am sure you will be a fab mum and you wont have the money worries we all have now! I have total faith, my bestest friend in the whole world is also called Karen and they tend to be wickedly awesome people!
No hug smilie here so *HUGS* for now, enjoy your fluffy dressing gown!!

Hello Karen,
Its the same situ for us. We had everything planned, though due to debt, we can't even think about a family. Even more so now I am jobless. Once the debt is reduced or even extinct then we'll be full steam ahead (ahem - don't mean that in a saucy way! Even though it sounds it!). Really hope that when the time is right that we are able to even have chicks of our own.
So totally understand and feel where you are coming from. I too am mega broody but have to tuck those feelings under my wings for a couple of years yet.
I am sure we can support each other through our broodiness/debtness.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

Awwww, thanks you guys :A It's so nice to speak to those that understand where I am coming from. I really appreciate it. I know I am getting myself in a tizz but sometimes it just gets me down. I need to take a leaf out of jtr2803 and use it as motivation. We'll all get there, especially with the great support we have here.
I've had me a 'chill out night' a few tears to myself, big bowl of spag bolg and now off to make me a nice hot chocolate.
