Hello,
Hope everyone is well and had good weeks, SO glad it's the weekend! Thought i'd take some time out to sit post a bit and catch up on everyone else
Not a lot to report my end, realised this week that I need to start looking at money again properly and think of some targets as kinda gone by the way side as you can imagine  However, am now aware that I don't want it to rule my life from now on and it has to take a back burner. If anything things that have happened recently have made me realise that life is too short!
So, have decided to have an afternoon of sorting and cleaning, washload already in. Bedding in next so I have nice fresh covers tonight (lovely!) and am off after posting to start sprucing the kitchen, bathroom etc. Might even pop and get myself something from supermarket for tea too.
Since last posted I have joined the gym...not so MSE, I know but I am concious that working from home and obviously living alone at the moment I need somewhere to escape and have some me time. I already paid £20 odd quid for the classes I do regularly so thought why not join, pay the extra £20 on top of normal spends and have a full membership so can use pool, classes, gym, health suite etc...so that's my investment in me. It's minimum of 3 mths so if I feel i'm not using it and wasting my money I can always cancel after this....but I won't. I'll be a toned skinny minny in time for all the lovely christmas parties
Anyhow, off to have a nosey at others threads now xx0 -
Hi Karen.
I think the gym is a great idea. As I live alone I have never fancied working from home because I worry I would become isolated. I do however, sometimes envy the time/fuel cost saving of no commute
I also agree that money shouldn't be the main focus of life. I am now going down the route of minimum payments, nothing on credit - and watching the debt slowly bur steadily decrease
Hope things are still positive for you and OH?
Take care of you :ASometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -

Hey SG,
Thanks - totally agree with the not making money main focus of life. It's all consuming at time. I think I forgot to have fun....something I realised these past couple of months.
Things with OH and I seem far more positive, think it's going to be a very slow process but we shall see. I'm still getting on with things for 'me' along the way and hopefully all will be fine in end.....men eh
Feel sick after the chocolate now....need to lay flat down as tummy full

Well got nothing done this afternoon and now just got out of a nice hot bath and wrapped up in lovely fluffy dressing gown so me thinks it'll be like that for the rest of the night now
Roll on strictly and x-factor....then bed! Gosh, I know how to live :rotfl:
Hope everyone had lovely sat eve xx0 -

Thanks SH - that's my plan...make a life for me! xx0 -
Morning,
Can't beleive it's Sunday already  Still, I have my normal Monday off tomorrow so not so bad for me
Hope everyone is well. Just about to go and make myself lovely....spending day with OH today, wish me luckWorked out that if things don't go to plan then at least my Sat nights are sorted until christmas with x-factor and strictly....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have a day with the girls planned tomorrow too, after a visit to the gym in the morning of courseI'm taking tips from ShoeGal's thread and investing some more time in me....not sure my body knows how to respond
Seriously I do have to think about money for a bit though as been a bit carefree of late, I need to get back on track. Think a bit further forward. Clearing a few debts seem to more in reach of being paid off, for instance a CC that prior to dmp was over £5k now has a balance of £3.5k.....wow! I just need to work out a plan that suits having a life but clearning some more debt to be free of it....thinking cap on....
Anyway, i'm off to spruce up, show the numpty what he's missing....:rotfl:
Have a good Sunday all ,
K xxx
