Am borrowing carpet cleaner from mum so will be doing all the carpets in the flat this weekend (all cream) and will have the flat looking like new by Sunday evening. Beats spending money I guess

Oh, busy weekend for you Karen. Mind you, I am going to be busy too, got loads of housework to do again, after being so good for a few days. Never mind, I will get there! Pants to your overtime too, hopefully it will pick up again soon.
Have a good weekend.0 -
Hey guys,
I'm all carpet cleaned out at the moment....never realised what cleaning carpets could do to you! My back, arms, legs....all ache. So unfit!
On a nicer note, the flat is looking great - the carpets are lovely and clean and it's nicely spruced
Back to work tomorrow....didn't win that lottery sadly. Feeling up for a nice challenge of no spending and being good again this week. Have had my nephews to stay this weekend so been a tad expensive and we're away camping with them next week so will be super good from now until Friday
Hope everyone has had a nice wendxx

Brings me on nicely to another issue, OH and I have decided to think about buying in the new year. We're going to go all out for the remainer of this month and try and save as much as possible towards a deposit.
Yes, I am sure there are some on here or possibly reading this and thinking why when you have debt - BUT - everyones life is different and I am 31 in a couple of months and have a mountain of debt which isn't going to disappear over night. If anything our mortgage payments will be less than our rent so will benefit me in long run!!!! My debt is going down and by a good amount each month so for the next 5 months we are going to join forces and build up our deposit in the hope OH can get mortgage next year and we can buy our first home....a first step towards our future together. We want kids etc but it's important to us (maybe not some) to have our own home first.
Anyhow, that's what I will be working towards from Aug payday so will be keeping a tally. Then as of Jan it'll be back on clearing those debts. Don't get me wrong I will still be budgeting for all the other things, food, hair, xmas etc etc and am still going to be keeping a tight hold on my debts too.
Kind of exciting times ahead and hopefully a 2010 to remember in all senses.
Anyhow, yapped for far too long. On to planning and sorting.....
