Hi Karen - I agree not at 1am or any other time when already asleep - unless there has been a real disaster!
I know that bored feeling! You say you have no close friends nearby (I don't have enough either so need to take my own advice!!) how about joining some local clubs or doing a course in something so you get to know more locals.
If you do want to have a child one day - you will need a local support network - you may as well start building it now... especially if you are going to be working from home a lot. It is good financially and in terms of time saved from commuting but not so good socially... You need to connect locally...
If I don't get Tuesday's job I think I will try and find out a bit more about local courses and events as I am mega bored! I wouldn't mind but there is loads in my house that needs doing and I can't motivate myself to do it! I desperately need to exercise - no motivation for that either....

Hey SH,
You're so right. Working from home great in that I don't have the £400 travel costs each month but socially I sometimes feel like I am going insane  Emails and the odd telephone calls just don't do it. I am now finding myself phoning my customers more so than normal just to remind them of things that are needed.....madness
I do have a couple of friends that I could call but one has just had little one and the other one isn't too social during the week and at weekends plans a lot with her OH. They are wife/ptn of my OH's mates, really great bunch but everyone already has their own lives to lead....etc etc.
I do a bit exercise wise but running is particularly lonely......although I love running as it gives me lots of time to think......normally i'll have that big house one day.....whilst i'm running past it.....a girl can dream:rotfl:
I'm particularly not looking forward to this week as working from home and OH is away from Tues to Sun. Normally I love having the time to myself but feeling a little lonely. Thankfully my friends from home town (hour away) are coming up Tues eve and then on Sat I am down to home town for a night out with friends for little sis bday. I'm sure I can amuse myself for the days in between.........
.......probably run like mad to burn of the HUGE bar of galaxy I have just munched my way though :embarasse........oops.0 -

Good Morning!
What a lovely day! Karen don't beat yourself up too much about the eating and exercising, I think us women sometimes think we can take on the world and win all the time, you are doing so well with the over time and making headway into your debts that you do deserve a treat! I'm sorry to hear you are feeling lonelyWhen I split with my ex I went through a similar thing, I had lost all my friends and I remember one night getting into bed at 7.30pm and crying for almost two hours because I felt like I had no one, sometimes its really hard but you have to force yourself to go and make new friends! Is there a local running club or similar you could get involved with? I know exactly what you mean about people having their lives, I talked to a girl at work about this last week and said it's strange how people get older and grow apart.
Did you manage to come in under your weekly spend amount? Think I just managed it!
The crazy golf sounds awesome, I love crazy golf, especially at Hastings in the early evening, I think I still have a card for a free game from getting the ball in the uphill hole on the very last one :rotfl:. Perhaps I can make it one of my money saving nights out, drive up to beach, play a game of crazy golf and get some fish and chips and eat them on the beach
I hope you enjoy your day after working this morning, enjoy the take away, you deserve it!!

Are there any running clubs you could join locally-that would be a great way of meeting people and also exercising. I felt very isolated when i had my ds three years ago as i was the first of my friends to have kids but i made myself go along to mums and tots and have met loads of friends through that. Hi Karen
Sorry to see you have been a bit low. I'm sure it must be hard living in a new town away from friends and family. I would definitely echo what others have said about joining a club/class/group to meet new friends.
Hope you having a good weekend and you enjoyed your takeaway!
