Just had the post and have been sent a free packet of Bob the Builder sunflower seeds which I saw on the freebies board. My plant them and see if I can grow them - doubt it - greenfingered I am not!

Also had a box of choccies from Hotel Chocolat - very unexpected. I took up an offer about 3 months ago through quidco for a box which ended up being £2. Set my regular delivery to 12 weeks (the longest) and thought - I'll remember to cancel that altogether  so thats £16.95 that will be being deducted soon. Bum.

Second job - phone and cancel altogether. First job - open box and have a chocolate.

    ta bookie and squizzer :D

Just found Music Magpie (thankyou bookie ;) ) and from the £40 worth of CD's I've had valued I'm going to sell £26 worth (a few were a bit scratched and a couple of double CD's had missing discs  ). Not sure if the offer has happened though as I seemed to go round in circles. However, I'll give it a few days, see if the label etc arrives but if not i'll just re-input.

Regardless of the outcome of the interview can I just point out how far you have come to actually

    A. Be empowered and confident enough to walk into that place again.

    B. Confidently go through the interview feeling as though you have done well.

........so proud of you my friend xx
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    thankyou Lou.

Where I went wasn't exaclty where I used to work, but a similar type of organisation (kind of think working at a large school and then working at the council education department - that kind of relationship of the 2 types of organisation)

For a split second I almost didn't go. I was just putting on my jacket and had a real moment of fear of going.

It was good interview practise whatever happens.

I've also taken the current profit on my shares. £103 on its way to my bank account.

You know what........I might actually get enough scraped together to pay the bills after all. Just.

:j So glad you were able to overcome that fear in order to go to the interview, and do a good and confident job there. I hope you are really proud of yourself. I'm trying to send you a warm satisfied glow, although I suspect that a couple of Hotel Chocolats might work more effectively. ;)

well, Ihaven't heard so guess I haven't got it. At the interview I was told they would try to tell the successful person today (they should have been finished by 2.30) or would possibly sleep on it and call tomorrow but let everyone know by the end of tomorrow. I can't see it taking more than the rest of the afternoon to make a choice of 1 from 6 people so I think I was unsuccessful.

Obviously there is a natural bit of rejection 'well, what was wrong with me' but at the end of the day, it wasn't the job I wanted.

What I can take from it is

    1. It was excellent interview practise and I was happy with it overall (apart from the 1 question which I knew was my weak spot anyway)

    2. A year ago I wouldn't have had the confidence to go to an interview for this kind of post because I was still a shed head

    3. It emphasised more that I prefer a working environment where it is a smaller organisation and a more tight knit work force rather than a larger place.
