I got paid £617, so that is good £7 more than I expected so a small bonus!

No call about the job so I think I can safely say it's a 'no'.

Will do a budget this afternoon of what I'm expecting in and the bills out so I can see where I am and how much more work I need to do on AQA for the rest of the month.

I've put myself forward for some ad hoc admin hours that have come up at work in July and August as I won't have any teaching, see what comes of that.

    OK - budget for June

    Salary in 617
    WTC 81
    Share profit 103
    AQA already earned 250
    Quidco definitely getting 23

    Total: 1074

    Bills: 1170

Shortfall of £96 which I definitely have to earn on AQA before end of the month.

Food: OH has paid for £80 worth and he still owes me £65 so I plan to use that for the rest of the months food.

Petrol: 4 trips to the course I'm doing next month plus my normal useage, so about £30 for the month I need to add on to the AQA money I need to earn, so that's £126 I need to earn before end of Sunday to ensure the bills are paid and enough petrol in the car.

I think the best plan is to do my teaching prep this afternoon and then work on AQA after work tomorrow and then hammer it as much as I can over the weekend. It's do-able, just needs a bit of effort.

Well, I didn't get the job...............and neither did anyone else......

they haven't appointed - what a waste, there must have been someone (like me!) who was pretty up on most stuff and maybe just needed a bit of training on the more teccy stuff.

Anyway, in a weird way I was quite relieved. I sat in the office at work and felt very much 'at home' there, it is lovely working in an old middle school and it is like a big family I am part of.

Apparently they are looking at the mix of skills they had from the people they interviewed and make a decision on what to do from there. I asked for feedback (might as well) and I am going to have a chat with the recruiting manager on Monday at 10.30 - she is on study leave today and tomorrow.

Sounds like they cobbled the job together from bits of other jobs (probably the bits other people didn't like) - rather like wanting a CORGI registered brain-surgeon who can ballet dance - and wondered why people didn't fit exactly.

HR should have given them a slap early on in the process...

ah, but the HR Director was on the interview panel!!

well, bit of a nothing day ahead. Work until 2 and then some AQA I guess.

I'm ok about the shortfall - at the beginning of the month I needed to find around £500-£600 to add onto my salaried post so I think I've done pretty well.

I'll be able to work out today/ this weekend how much i'll be getting at the end of June, so I can set myself a new target on AQA for June.

Just because he/she is HR Director doesnt mean to say they know what they are doing........
