thankyou buffy. Just got my jacket and shoes to put on.

Blouse is a bit tight, I feel a bit like a trussed up chicken!

Good job I have such sleek and manageable hair - with this wind and rain, I dread to think what i'd look like otherwise when I get out of the car

    See you all later.....

Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

    ta gang :D

I was happy with about 90% of my answers - why I wanted it, questions about past jobs, questions about elements of the post etc etc from general stuff really.

And then the guy who knew me started his questions.......no chance for me to bull there about what I did and didn't know!! I really gave some bull rubbish for one of his questions, he would have known I didn't know what I was talking about, but there you go. I knew I'd hit a wall with him for at least one question and thank god it was only 1 question!

And then at the end -

'just a bit of housekeeping..........you were made redundant as we've already discussed (said I left because I preferred the part of the job and it was going outside and this post was that part of the job)........so.........any other colleagues made redundant? Or just you'...........she looked quite surprised when I said 'oh, yes, my colleague was also made redundant because her work also went to an external agency'. ;)

She then asked about my referees and who I had put down (I put my nice manager - the one who was my manager for 8 years before Cruella arrived) - had she been my manager for the whole of my time? Well, almost all I said. I said I had another manager for a short amount of time before I left , but my previous manager knows me inside out - anything you need to know about me, I said, ask her!!!

I guess that was perhaps a bit of digging from perhaps hearing something about Cruella and what happened but I think I handled it well.

I even got around the bit about me taking on something that was the 'baby' of the guy on the panel. I said he was going onto bigger, brighter and better things (he blushed!) and that through my interest I was fortunate to be able to take it on......... rather than he was overloaded, it was mess and nobody used it..........didn't think it would go down well.....

I also had to do a written test which was a doddle.

So, there you go, it's over and I'm still not 100% sure it is what I want because of not wanting to leave where i am, but the money would be nice. Journey time was 12 minutes to get there, 18 to get back, so in the rush hour about 20 minutes each way, although it's only about 3 miles (and not a scary drive for those who know about my driving phobia ;):T)

I think they'll go for someone a bit more 'up' on the teccy side to be honest it is my obvious weakness in all the elements for the job.

I really didn't like the feel of the place at all. Big soul less open plan offices, lots of desk dividers with meeting rooms around the edges. Think The Office on a bigger scale.

Might hear today, they said they might sleep on it. Last interview is 1.30 ish but they were already running over time when I got there!

Feel pooped now - it's used up about a weeks worth of brain cells I think!

it's ok, you don't need to keep them crossed. Other than the money, it has no appealing factors for me. I guess if I am offered it, I will take it, but if not, I won't shed any tears. It made me remember why I prefer a small, tight knit department/organisation rather than a huge one where you can be there years and still not really know people.

Found the article that was used for the written test - I thought I'd only read it on the BBC website this morning ;)

In other news - paid back the £60 I borrowed and paid the minimum on my 3rd CC, the one I am trying  to clear first.

Also still toying with taking the £100 profit on my shares again, I really need every penny to break even at the end of this month.

Also had an email asking if I want extra hours (in my admin job) from 1 July as we go into our busy time. I will say yes as I won't have any teaching in July and August and if I am in the same job I will have 2 months like this one to scrape money together.
