I found him train tickets which are from here to the stadium, up to London, tube to Marylebone and quick train. Stops right at the door of the stadium apparently. Nice and easy route.
No.......he is going to get the tube from Waterloo - sooo much quicker, sooo much easier than the route I found for him.....
I guess he hasn't looked at the live underground engineering works for this weekend:rotfl: It involves 2 tubes and a bus........
But why were you looking for him anyway?:p

I knew it would be bad because I get lots of questions on AQA about tubes at the weekend, suspended lines, alternative bus routes etc and I just wanted to feel a bit smug

Time to step up, dust off and shake it all down
OK, where to re-start.
The bad news. I've had a bit of a spending spree over the last couple of months and my debt has risen to around £7k.:o:o:o
The good news- the majority of it barring the £1700 on my overdraft and a little bit on 1 card is all on 0%.:T
The end of this month will see my first full time salary in over 2 years go into my bank account. I think it will be around £1100 but as it's 2x 18.5 hour jobs at the same place I'll see what my wage slip reads next week.
I've lost just a shade over a stone since Weybiza at the beginning of August. It's slow and I am not planning any goals etc because I know how easily I can give it all up. However, a couple of gallbladder-esque attacks after eating a high fat dinner (last one on Tuesday) really need to highlight to me that it's either low fat or extreme pain for 3 days.
Generally I feel really positive about life at the moment with a real spring in my step.
Work is busy - I'm not enjoying my morning job anymore because I've moved into a shouty, highly strung excitable office and I just sit there and try to do my work quietly but even that makes me feel very stressed and I am getting headaches by the end of the morning. I was contemplating giving up the morning job and concentrating on the afternoon one extending, but it's contract so that is a high risk. However, I have a job, a full time one and I am grateful.
OH is still being an inconsiderate, grumpy git who tries to put me down wherever he can, but hey I rise above all that now, my life is much better than that
Life is going to be busy. Teaching re-starts Monday night. So my week will be:
Mon-Friday in the office - 37 hours
Teaching - 2 hours (at night, 4 hours after half term) plus unpaid prep. time
AQA - Sat/Sun - however much I choose to day.
Phone WTC and apparently I will still get my £100 per month until April when it will be £0. I was surprised as I thought it would be nil from now on but apparently not as it's based on last year's earning. That was a nice result.
So, office salary will cover all bills and minimum CC payments.
Teaching (around £100 per month after tax) will cover food.
AQA will be for debt-busting and it's up to me how quick or slow I do it.
My life had become a huge great rut, but recently I had the chance to move away from routine just for a little while and it's really re-inspired me for life. Yeah, I've still got to work hard, the housework needs doing and I have little time for much else, but, sometimes things happen and they just put the spark back in you and you know that things are as great as you make them
I love the Ralph Marston Daily Motivator, and I picked this randomly
"The joy you seek is not in some particular, momentary pleasure or acquisition. The joy is in the living of the precious moments of your life as they come.
The opportunities are always there. Your job is to seize them and work them into real, meaningful achievements.
The purpose of your magnificent life is not to merely endure. There are wonderful, unique treasures that only you can create.
Fulfillment of your authentic purpose is worth every effort. Never settle for less from yourself than the absolute best you can be.""Stay Wonky":D

glad to see you are happy with life and are ready to get cracking on your debts. Good to see you backMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
Debt £2547.60 / £2547.600 -
thankyou slm. I've cracked the debt before, I'm going to do it again.
So, deep breath - here's the sorry tale of the situation at the moment
overdraft 1700
Barclaycard 802 (6.9% LoB)
Flybe 387 (APR unknown, will update when get statement, probably around 15% or so)
Sony card 3891 (0% possibly only for 6 months though)
MBNA card 1 120 ( 21%)
MBNA card 2 977 (750 of this is 0% until May 2010, the remainder: 14%)
Total: 7877. OuchBut sortable :T
So, in good, old fashione MSE debt busting style, start with the highest APR, which is MBNA card 1 - nice that it is the lowest amount.
Normally this would be something I could clear at the beginning of October with AQA money, but I am going on holiday 6-16 Oct and need spending money. I plan to use AQA money plus a bit of share profit I currently have as spending money. This means that in October all CC's will get minimum payment.
Then at the end of October, I will target myself to earn enough to clear MBNA card 1 with AQA money. Not a huge amount, but only have 2 weekends to do it in."Stay Wonky":D
