You can't get 5x or 6x your salary any more - but that's good, because that's lunacy.

better hope the rate stays small then........on 28k, I'd need a shade over 4x salary. My LTV isn't a problem. My house is worth around 200k at the moment and I have around 80k equity in it."Stay Wonky":D

You *might* get up to 4 via a broker...but if your existing rates are so low - why bother?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

BB how bad are the fees if you end your deal early and revert to the SRV? It might be worth your while investigating that optionBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0

Lou - it would be £7,777 to end now rather than wait until next July.
I have a dilemma.......I was all set to put part 2 of my work masterplan in place and apply for the job advertised this week. 18.5 hours, a new post working in a community training role. Partnership working, training volunteers to run their own little groups etc. It would (if I got it) take me up to 21k plus teaching and AQA. I've already said to the head of service I am keen.
Someone in the department has had her hours cut from 37 to 18.5 and the remaining 18.5 is a similar kind of community learning role. She was gutted as it was a real shock. She came in today and gave me a huge hug and a kiss and said 'well done' and was almost in tears. She hadn't gone for the job I got, so I didn't feel Ihad to feel guilty but I asked if she was going for the other job and she said 'yes. Probably, if I can get myself together enough'.
She seems really fragile at the moment and although the job is in the paper so could attract candidates from other organisations, she should get it if she applies.
So, do I not apply? If she doesn't then apply, I've lost an opportunity. Do I apply and feel guilty if I get an interview? I can't see I would get it over her, she is the ideal candidate, but if she doesn't apply, then I could be in a strong position.....
I guess I've answered it myself? Apply?"Stay Wonky":D

Apply. You are not responsible for anyone else. If she gets it because she is the best person for the job, so be it. If YOU get it because you are the best person for the job, it is because you should have the job. End of. No arguments.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. hhmm, I guess. I also kind of think the head of service might have her pencilled in to make up for what happened...........although a couple of months ago when the job was first drafted, she said to me 'would you fancy it? XXX isn't interested' but things have now changed so I guess she probably is!
She was just so lovely to me, came over to me and kissed and hugged me, I really thought she was going to cry. She seemed so pleased for me"Stay Wonky":D
