I guess I just feel sorry for her........I'm now in a more fortunate position and it made me feel a bit greedy to want to be in an even more fortunate position so quickly.......

But you know yourself that fortunes can change just as quickly, and you have to seize these opportunities as they arise otherwise you may not get the chance again.

If the tables were turned, would she be stepping aside to let you go for the job unhindered? Probably not!

Also, it is advertised in the paper - there is nothing to say either of you will get the job if there is someone out there better placed for it!

Apply - you have got nothing to lose. You are still a nice person. People will still come up to you for hugs and kisses.

this is true hypno........I actually said to her 'well, you have to go for these things (the job I got) otherwise you can look back in life and think - I shouldn't have been scared'. (I was trying to encourage her to have the confidence to apply!!)..........I need to listen to my own advice though!!

Spent the morning absolutely  but have just about calmed down but am still not happy. Been handwashing towels and tea towels.

OH was happy to take my washing to his house, do it and bring it back but when I said I was happy to go over and do it myself as there are still 2-3 lots (he had to get some train tickets and have his hair cut) and then do the rest when he was at the Charity Shield tomorrow (so I wasn't waiting hours to get it back), I got a straight 'no you aren't being in the house when I'm not there'. I went mad, he wouldn't give a reason other than a repeated 'you just can't,' followed by 'you know how I feel about my house'.

After much ranting from me about him being mildly fooked up in the head, he changed it to 'I don't want you using my washing machine when I'm not there - you'll break it' ..........rrrrrrrrrriiiiiiighhhhhhhhhht. So 'you know how I feel about my house' is now 'you know how I feel about my washing machine'. The words 'utter bull' came from my mouth.

Apparently its ok for me to be in his house.........but not when he isn't there and I am definitely not allowed his house keys. I suggested he drop them with me when he went to town. He said no - how would he get back in? I said - I'll be sitting there ? 'Absolutely not' was his reply.

He stomped off after trying to take the washing and me refusing. I was livid - does he think I'm going to trash the place? Go through his stuff?

Am I being unreasonable to want to be in his house on my own?? I mean - he's here on his own often enough in the mornings when he isn't working

  • I am meant to be having a break from posting BB, but the behaviour of your OH has forced me to post. What a !!!!. If you let him in your house when you aren't there what POSSIBLE reason could he have for keeping you out of his?

What planet is this man on? How dare he be so rude to you and what on earth does the phrase "you know how I feel about my house" mean?

I am so sorry but he is just being a horrible nasty little control freak. there is no logic to anything he has said.

I just can't believe he has the gall to say such things, I mean there is no logic there at all. You're his girlfriend, not some weirdo off the street.

    a utterly furious Buffy.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Just make sure that you turf him out of your house when you are out then BB.

My gut instinct............he is hiding something.:o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I did say to him - why can't I'? His answer 'I don't want just anyone being there' - I said 'I'm not just anyone'

I also said what did he not want me to see and he kind of gave me this weird 'look' as if he was incredulous and said 'nothing' .

I half felt this would be his reaction, when the machine first broke I wondered how he would react to me using his - seems I was right :(
