clarissa_D You can buy a spray for mould and mildew in the supermarket. It is a really strong cleaning fluid, so you have to be careful using it. When I tried the spray, I put it directly onto a cloth and just wiped over the mould/mildew. It worked really well, and lifted it all. It might be worth doing a spot test first.

We get a lot of damp and mold in our flat and we have been thinking of putting a sealant on the outside of the wall to try to stop the damp coming in. DH is in charge of finding out about it, so it will probably never happen!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I was going to do some turbo listing but really CBA.
Have been trying out DS2's new memory foam mattress topper with him - did strip his bed and put new bedding on when putting the topper on though.
Just having a cuppa now. DS1 (aka the DoDo) is busily cleaning the mud out of the groves of his golf clubs, he wanted you all to know that. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Okay day today, another lovely lie in from kids.
They played really nicely all morning, I played Bingo with them, lunch was a success, DD2 had a good sleep. Then we all went round to a friend's for a bit.
Tea was late but superfast. They had tuna pasta but actually it was tuna noodles - 10p noodles , 1 pack did the 3 of them, with half a tin of tuna, half a jar of bolognaise sauce, half a tin of swetcorn and some grated cheese. Cooked in about 5 minutes and they all ate it, even asbobaby.
Hubs and I had tea at the same time, lentil&veg curry in the slow cooker and hibs cleared his plate which was amazing since he hates lentils, hates the slowcooker () and hates anything tomatoey which this was.
well it was such a succes I will be using the slowcooker a lot more and tough if he doesnt like it. The thing tonight made 7 portions.
that was with a tin of tomatoes, 2 carrots, 2 onions, a load of red lentils, a half pack of value mushrooms and a potato. so we ate 2 portions and I have 5 to freeze :T
Am VERY chuffed
So that all worked quite well tonight.
BUT and here is the downer for today ...............
Went to Weightwatchers tonight and apparently I have put ON 7lbs in 2 weeks :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Several things to note though:
- was wearing jeans, normally wear trousers
- hadnt been to the loo IYSWIM
- had eaten tea, normally eat when I get back
- have had a holiday
Anyway I am horrified.
Hubby working from home tomorrow so am hoping to get the girls into the creche at they gym and leave DS with him (creche only takes them up to 5th birthday).
Really need to wise up, stop eating junk and do [STRIKE]a bit more[/STRIKE] some exercise.

Am not doing too badly. Took me ages today to clean 3 loos, 2 basins, 1 bath, 1 shower, they were all pretty limescaly and gross.
I also delimescaled the kitchen sink and drainer. When I get a bottle of Limelight in my hand I cant stop til I have used it all up!
Could I use vinegar for the limescale as effectively ? I tried it on tisuue in a poly bag on the showerhead for a few hours and it worked a bit, should I have left it longer ?Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Soappie, hope your community problems get sorted out. Do you want to talk about it? PM me if you don't want to discuss it on here.
Welcome back Lil_me! Did you have a nice time?
Dodo, cleaning golf clubs, a worthy cause my DH would say!
Jill, you have done a really good job today! You've worked hard it sounds like and I'm so glad that things went well at dinnertime. Do the kids enjoy having their dad there at dinner time?
Well done on cooking such economical meals too! That's great!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

If your shower head unscrews stick it in a jug of vinegar overnight and it should all wipe off - pour the vinegar back into the bottle and use again for descalling other things. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
