    Hi Zippy

I (normally) work full time and am a single parent to a 7 year old boy.

Im not the best 'flylady' - far from it in fact and rarely get lots of stars (but manage about one a week I think - roughly).

But I notice a HUGE MASSIVE ENORMOUS difference to my house, so am definately doing something right - stars or not.

    I find easiest for me.....

Pigpen normally posts a list in the evening for the following day. I will check out the list at night time and start to do what bits and pieces I can before bed i.e.
    • put the hoover and relevant cleaning materials in that room.
    • wash anything in that room that needs/that i can overnight (cushion covers in lounge/ bath mats in bathroom etc) and hang up to try in the morning.
    • In the morning, I do what little bits and pieces that i can before I go to work - if its the bedroom, i put bedding in the wash while im at work and sprinkle bicarb on the mattress and leave it all day while im at work.
    • When i come back from work I then do most of my dailies while tea is cooking, hoover relevant rooms and put contents of WM in the dryer.
    • After tea, finish dailies and sort out little one for bed. When he is in bed (8pm) I will try to finish the rest of the list for that day
    • 9pm ish - I try to do HHI whilst catching up on Heroes, 24, CSI, criminal minds etc.
    • 10pm ish - collapse into shower then bed.......check list in bed and see what the next days list is.
    • Get out of bed again and sort out what i can for that list......
    Dailies are things like
    • WM (normally before bed as electric is cheaper)
    • TD (hang up in morning and TD in evening if not dry)
    • Dishes (morning and evening.......)
    • Dinner (SC takes the hard work out this, or use pre-made portions from freezer)
    • Packed lunches (make at night for next day)
    • Uniform for little one (which is why HHI is required)
    • Work clothes for me
    • S&S kitchen (when im making tea)
    • S&S bathroom (when i shower in the morning normally)
It does not always going according to plan - but that is what i aim for. I dont always get all the lists done and therefore dont always get a star, but do enough to make a considerable difference to my house!

    Hope this helps you xxx

Some good advice there thank you :A I have been trying to do a HHI each night and putting the washer on in the morning and before bed, but my enthusiasm starts to wane as the week goes on and I get more tired, worth the effort though to get to the weekend and not have a huge pile to do :T

Mudbath good wishes for your dad x
