:hello: I've only managed to do all of Mondays tasks and a pile of ironing. Anyone else flying and working full time please that can give me some tips on how to keep on top of it all, I really want to get into a routine I can fit in.

Think its almost impossible if you work full time. How much can you get your girls and OH to help with? Perhaps a weekly list for each of them would help. Under 16 mine had to keep own rooms tidy and change the beds, iron personal clothes[not school uniform], make own packed lunch, took turns with clearing table at night and putting things away and washing up, and one dusted downstairs one week and the other vacuumed, and it was swapped round the following week. Over 16 they took responsibility for all own washing and ironing. None of that took them that long but it helped keep things under control.
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Start with level one for a few weeks... it will gradually get quicker, and you'll be able to add in level 2 and so on. The first time I cleaned my oven it took about 3 days :o. It now takes 10 minutes. The same goes for the windows. I work silly hours, but I do try to do the following:
• bung disinfectant down the loo before I leave the house in the morning
• clear and wipe kitchen surfaces before I go to bed (and set off DW if it's full)
• empty DW before I leave the house in the morning (or at least some of it... I usually only have about 10 minutes to spare)
• S&S the bath/shower/basin as I use them, so that they never really get dirty
• have several sets of bedding so that I can change my sheets even if I haven't had time to wash/dry/iron the last set
• make my breakfast/lunch in the evening ready to bung in a cold bag and take with me first thing
• pack my gym bag with work clothes (I go to the gym/pool before work every day) and anything I need for after work (yoga stuff) the night before
• get food for evening out of the freezer before I go to work
• deal with floordrobe before going to bed each night.
If you can function on 6 hours sleep or less every night, this is manageable... (alternatively you may leave work and get home at a sensible time )

Hiya to you all

I've not really caught up on the thread, sorry!!!

Beautiful day today isn't it.

Sadly my dad's eye isn't looking good. It seems like he's had another bleed behind it as he can only see about 50% of what he should be able to. I'm not a religious person but i'm praying like crazy that it's just swelling from the op. I'll be gutted for him if he loses his sight as reading and writing is his life. I'm going to stay positive about it. He WILL be able to see again.

Sorry to be a miserable cow!

Flying - chucked 100/500 things today....I was peed off so throwing stuff out was easy!

Massive hugs to you all xx

When we were doing the garden and cutting back the bushes, mum was - and i was strimming the grass - a massive frog jumped out at me!!

I got such a fright and started squealing like a big girl!! I went and ran behind my mum!!

Flower - you are a legend for that description......Im sure there may be many flyladies who can put up a shelf, but for those of us who cant that was an excellent post xx

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:about the frog, glad you and the frog and your mum are OK now, maybe a stiff drink will help? ;)

And I aim to please (can you tell I LOVE power tools?) I went shopping in B&Q's with my friend to get a staple gun, and we got really excited because we got an electric one and were laughing and squealing with delight as we found other tools to get that we thought were fantastic, and all the men were looking at us like we were mad (note for the record - not my money I was spending, but her business account... all the more fun!)

I love them, I do all the DIY in our house and use electric jigsaws, drills, grinders and even cut up some big sheets of wood with a circular saw (that started out a bit worrying) I think I'm a bit of a tomboy...:D I even changed and wired in all our light fittings myself (but still can't change two bloooooody light bulbs... :rotfl:)

Questions - Do you go at a leisurely walking pace or is it more like a walking race?

Fairly leisurely, as it takes me ages to warm up... the walk I'm doing is over mixed terrain, so it won't be power walking... I averaged 3.25 mph in the moonwalk so i'm not exactly speedy!
Can the walks be nice and flat (for those of us who are a little unfit :o?
Find me somewhere flat round here and I'm up for it :D

And can I ask why you have to do these certain distances on certain days? Ta :D
Training plan... 20 mile walk on 27th June...

Flower - how about you come down with your OH one week... you can visit me EVERY DAY :D

Mudbath - hugs and prayers for you and your dad. Really hope it turns out ok.

greenbee - I could be up for one of the shorter walks then. Maybe somewhere like Royal Victoria Country Park? Or you could come down here and walk along the seafront :D
