  • They sent me the offer letter on the 8th which i duly signed and sent back. Because it is the NHS i had to triple checked (health criminal record and references) before they gave me a start date. So i now won't starting until next week. The funny thing is we were not even trying! My mum asked how it happened. I pointed out as she has had 5 she should know! Oh well i will see how things progress.

I want roo to be engaged... she feels like she's started to engage and on thursday she was sat with her head just above my pubic bone where she should be... (just happy she turned herself!) I'd love to know if she's engaged at all though *sigh* earliest I'll find out is a week from today when I go for my 38 week appointment with the GP... I hate the fact that we only get to see someone every 2 weeks at this stage :( For goodness sakes I'm less than 3 weeks from being due - you'd think they might wanna keep an eye on a weekly basis! *sulk*

weezl you put it much better than me :)

Tine - I was seen every week from 36wks and that is standard at my new GPs too for "prima gravida's" :D

OMG - loose women are saying that some council somewhere have banned icecream vans on residential estates to stop people getting fat - pah!!! I'm seriously considering getting myself a Mr Whippy machine if they do that up here!! What about the poor ice cream man's livelihood??

I get more exercise running after the darned icecream van than I do most other things ;) You'd think they'd encourage them but maybe make them park a little further away ;) hehehe

And boo hiss - I would have seriously thought every week for prima gravida's would be a sensible thing but alas not here... ARGH! so unfair! I want to know what is going on with my babby and my body! SO unfair! Sulk sulk sulk!

POO!! it does sound like that should mean 4/5ths in not 4/5ths out!!

Knew it was wishful thinking but thought might be early 'cos i misunderstood the in/out bit.

Surely that confuses everyone then?? if your car was 4/5ths parked it would be 80% IN the space...grrr

Nevermind, im just sooo impatient, eating a micro feasters burger but do have a large bowl of fruit for pud, yum

Anyone's OH read a copy of FQ? I'm wondering if maybe my OH would like a copy as he's not one for getting involved :(
He is even saying he's not gonna come to the labour orientated parent craft classes think I might take my mum as she is my birth partner but I would like him to show the slightest interest

SHE AGREED but said i should still go as appt is made. def miffed now.

I agree mrs T, it does seem a long time between visits considering we can go anytime :huh:

Sami - I've told OH he's coming whether he wants to or not.

    Sparkle - gorgeous pics!

Well I was in a good mood cos I got a payrise and it's more than just standard cost of living :j

but...............OH has had a meeting at work and been told they want him to take on more work for no more money. This extra work includes the odd overnight stay. Am gutted for him because the 2 guys he works with are @rseholes and one of them does less work for probably double the money.

He said last night that if they don't keep him on, he'll live off his savings and be a stay at home Dad. Don't think it'll last long though.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

    Roo has hiccups again *sigh*
Don't mind the hiccups too much... it's the tantrum she throws with it because it obviously annoys her :rotfl:
