  • Hi Ladies,

I had my scan at the EPAU today and unfortunately it was bad news. I wanted to share my story as I know I've been trawling the internet for the past week looking for some assurance/advice.

I started bleeding last Tuesday afternoon. It started as a pinky dc charge when I wiped and turned to brown then bright red blood by late evening. With hindsight last Monday/Tuesday I was incredibly bloated (I looked like I'd put on 3 stone overnight ) so much so that my Mum thought I had my dates wrong. I called NHS direct and was advised that unless I was in pain or bleeding heavily to call my GP the next day (otherwise to go to A&E). My GP said he would call the EPAU. The EPAU booked me for a scan but would only book one once I was past 6 weeks (yesterday). All through I haven't had any pain and the bleeding although not enough to necessitate a pad has been there each and every time I wipe. I started to have very small clots from Friday. Today I had a scan then an internal scan and both showed nothing. They also did a pregnancy test which was negative. My boobs have been sore and huge since I got my BFP but since yesterday they haven't been sore and today seem back to normal.

Of course I'm disappointed and I admit to a little cry when the internal showed nothing but I believe everything happens for a reason and I'm hoping the fate fairy will bring me back over here soon. In the meantime I'm off back to the TTC thread...

This thread is wonderful and I wish you all the best of luck :A

BTW, for the record I had Ben & Jerrys Half Baked last night and can thoroughly recommend it :D

Iheartfreebies, so sorry for your loss! It's so unfair, so many ladies have had losses recently. Hope to see you back real soon though xx

Aless, I'm sure it was only a few weeks ago the last one was on.

Fingers crossed for you Mrs M. X

Fitzio, that would be fantastic if you're sure it's not to much trouble.

I'm off in 5 mins or so, DD1 is having her Op today to try and unblock her fallopian tubes so this is the last thing to see if she can have children naturally, please everyone cross everything you've got for her. Bringing her back here later for a couple of days to recoup so will let you know what happens.

Tara - I popped into Babies R Us at lunchtime and they had the I Love My Bear cotbed in. It is really lovely and doesn't look in any way red like it does on the website. I wouldn't like to guarantee you 100% that it is what you are looking for, but in my opinion (and hubbie's), it's a nice shade of chocolate brown and not a tinge of red. Hope this helps!

I went into Asda too, and as Elle suggested, they had stuff in a separate aisle away up the back of the store. I bought a Johnsons box and a couple of wee bodysuits, but that was all. They didn't have any of the microwave steamers in stock or any newborn nappies. Might try again another day.

I keep calling her 'it' and DH tells me off. He's started to get all soppy about his little girl which is just so nice after the first months of him being scared.

I even got him in Mothercare today! :j

If she turns out to be a tomboy I'll cry :rotfl:

I want roo to be engaged... she feels like she's started to engage and on thursday she was sat with her head just above my pubic bone where she should be... (just happy she turned herself!) I'd love to know if she's engaged at all though *sigh* earliest I'll find out is a week from today when I go for my 38 week appointment with the GP... I hate the fact that we only get to see someone every 2 weeks at this stage :( For goodness sakes I'm less than 3 weeks from being due - you'd think they might wanna keep an eye on a weekly basis! *sulk*

My midwife asked me if I wanted to go back in 1 week or 2... Seeing as I don't like her.. I chose 2 lol..

Have been today and collected the baby swing http://www.preciouslittleone.com/acatalog/FPSMART3in1.html this one for all those that missed my earlier post... Had a bit of a laugh really... When we got to the house I realised we hadn't been to the cash point so I had to borrow £20 off my Aunt and a quick scab around my purse and handbag turned up another £4.84.. I took a chance, and they let me off the 16p... But then we had to get it in the car... Which is a megane convertable... We had to take the back off the seat to fit it in the boot because the frame wouldn't go in at all... And we ended up opening the roof to get the frame in the back of the car because the door space was too small... Thankfully it fitted in and the roof closed over it again... It was raining! I'm ever so pleased with it, it's all lovely and immaculate condition... Can't wait until our little baby is sitting in it!

Ooh, and I offered to have my friends daughter round to play for a couple of hours tonight, her son is in respite so she can have a bit of time to herself... She just rang to say she'll fetch the girls from school and drop them off with a Happy meal each... Seeing as I forgot to get the pork chops out of the freezer and hubby got paid today, might get him to stop at the chippy on his way home, then I won't have to mess up the kitchen at all today :D
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hey,
Just a quick question - spoke to receptionist at doc's surgery last week who confirmed the positive result they'd got back. She said doc would take a look then refer me, and then someone would be in touch. All sounded a bit vague! Just wondered when i should be expecting to see/hear from someone?
:j Very proud mummy to Evie Mae born 26/12/09 :j
Aims for 2010 - be a good mummy, lose (some) weight, clear (some) debts, be happy :D
