This little document contains more information than I got from both the consultant and the anaesthetist I saw which is absolutely ridiculous! The whole BMI thing - I remembered I saw this the other day and I quite liked the tone of it - non-judgemental but explaining why women with a higher BMI ought to see an aneastatist before going in even if not planning on a C-sec etc... Might be helpful to those out there that have a higher BMI?

My hubby too... I had one the other night and said, ooh, I'm having a contraction... Never seen him shoot off the sofa so quick!Thats so funny. My OH calls them Branston Pickles.

I also had 3 early scans prior to the one at nearly 12 weeks and there was no problem getting it. He was just mean.
Wow - I too had my NT scan 5 days after my 12 week scan and bubs wouldn't play ball. Got scanned for 30mins was amazing - and that is how I am sure there is no way they could have missed a twin! I look MASSIVE for 17 weeks - someone even asked when I was due which I thought might have been cheeky as he didn't know I was pregnant! I could hav just been a bit podge - but no, apparently I look very pregnant!
GISI - So glad scan went well. I too have that carseat and base - I also have the Aria pushchair which it clips into. The colours are similar to the Boots Changing Bag.
I have used all my Bio-Oil, have a small sample of Palmers Cocoa Butter from Emmas Diary bag from Lloyds Pharmacy and got some Rescue Oil off eBay but Sami said it doesn't contain same ingredients as Bio-Oil so I'll slop it on now and then fork out for some Bio-Oil.
If MrsT is right though I'm doomed anyway - I have stretchmarks all over the tops of my boobs from when I was a 34H.
Searching - you like Bodycare don't ya?

Well I'm broken... Went to meet my Nan in town today, had lunch, walked round M&S... Nearly passed out while she looked at jackets... (She just bought one from a charity shop and wanted to see if they still sold them) Hobbled as far as BHS with her... Then left her and took Aimee to the art gallery so I could sit down for half an hour while she played!
My back is killing me, my hips are killing me, I'm afraid to get off the sofa because I know I'm going to be hobbling like a 90yr old... I have decided that apart from school runs, midwives and swimming lessons, I will not leave the house again for the forseeable future... It's just not worth the aches...
On the plus side, my tutor is coming round in a bit so I can have a rant at her about my midwives and their need to measure my baby... She is completely on mywave length about the whole thing so I'm hoping she'll give me a bit of ammo to come back at the midwife on Monday and Tuesday when I see them... Incidentally... If the midwife is coming for my home visit on Monday to discuss my birth plan, why can't she test my sample and do my blood pressure while she's here instead of making me walk down that big hill and back up again on Tuesday?!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I don't know if there's one near me but there is one in next town over for definite!
Meant to say, not sure if I had a BH last night - don't know if its too early.
Was in kitchen and all of a sudden bump went all tight and really hurt - knocked me for six but was OK about 30 seconds later.
was it a BH do we think? Or maybe my overactive imagination?A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Krystal - is the MW coming to you because you're having a HB? Sorry can't remember. Just that no-one has made any arrangements to come and see me at home at all... are they supposed to?
Only asking you as we're nearly due date buddies and kinda figure generally we should be on the same time line

In the hosp where I had my daughter there's rather a large midwife who to be quite frank was a complete c** to me the whole night telling me that the straps to that horrible heartbeat tracer thing they strap you up to didn't fit right cause of my belly...I had to tell her that there was room to spare and they were only not fitting right cause her fat fingers were in the way!! I know it's not funny but I was sore at the time and she annoyed me, I would never have dreamed of saying anything like that before but looking back it was a wee bit comical!!

Ahaha :rotfl: I would of laughed so much if i witnessed that lol. It sounds like something i would say, when i get really stressed i get annoyed and snap at people lol.
Finally have somewhere to sitHang on... they are taking a seat off a pregnant woman... ehh what exactly are they expecting you to do?? Stand up all day? If they send you home btw it better be on full pay!
The reason i had to move is because we originally where sitting in a different department as our department ran out of spaces. And then the other department said they want the seats back. So we had to be found somewhere else. I did ask to go home and they said no, they did find us some seats but they weren't available until 2:30pm so they sent me off on a paid 30 min break
Have a seat now on another department, have to move again at 7pm lol.
Ridiculous really isn't it?

Could be Glam, if your bump went hard... I was getting them from really early on...
Tine, home birth? In my dreams! I don't know if it's NHS policy or just our local PCT policy, but they always do a home visit to discuss your birth plan (back page of your green notes) Is suspposed to be at 34 weeks, but seeing as last week was the first time since booking in I've actually seen my own midwife I'm having mine 2 weeks late... She could of seen me last week but insisted on coming after 'the kids are back at school' Which also annoyed me... My daughter's quite welcome to be here tyvm!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
