Mine are blue krystal lol says nothing about home visits on the list of visits though - says MW at 34, 36 and doc at 38 etc nothing about the visit being at home and the appointment I made for next week (which would be my 36 week) is at the surgery I assume as nothing else has been said.
Guess we don't see MWs at home here till after baby has arrived
Assume they just trust we all have suitable safe homes and environments to bring the babies home to then :)
(interestingly I know of someone who took her baby home and the HV came and freaked at the state of her place - not saying all young mums are like this btw but she'd not long moved out and basically she had NOTHING... nothing for the baby, no clothes, no cot/bed, no bottles, nappies etc and the place was filthy and she didn't even have a fridge... the poor HV had never seen anything like it... Thankfully she had a heart and she basically arranged to go for a couple of hours each evening to help her clean and organised some emergency things for her. The girls younger sister told her OHs mum (who lives opposite us lol hence how I know ;) ) and they organised clothes, nappies, moses basket and everything else...
Would have been a lot less stressful if they had done a home visit before she had the baby and they'd identified the problems before she took the baby home...

Tine - I agree with krystaltips that leaflet was more informatrive than the "lecture" I had from the "specialist" about being obese.

Glad my health authority has got SOMETHING right then ;)

I just thought it explained things pretty well about why you should see the aneastist etc without being judgemental about it.

Congrats Feelie :) I did suspect as much as I thought if you were just stuck in hospital you'd have updated facebook or something ;) Glad you're both well and that you just went with the flow and let them do what was best for you. I think being relaxed about it probably helped and glad it meant you ended up with a natural birth.
