    Congratulation Feelie!

Thanks for all the comments on anti-stretch mark cream. My sister has been using the bio oil but only on her bump and as a result she got marks under her boobs but non around her bump! Mind you she still has three weeks to go so there is time. Personally I hate moisturizing because it's always so cold :o defo need something though as my skin was often dry and itchy even before I got pg.

  • Congratulations Feelie and welcome to the world Toby - I have been keeping an eye on the thread waiting for his arrival.

He is just beautiful Feelie! I am so glad that you are both okay and that the birth wasn't too traumatic (although it sounds like it was eventful!!)

    Now the real fun starts!
    Take care.

Mine are blue krystal lol says nothing about home visits on the list of visits though - says MW at 34, 36 and doc at 38 etc nothing about the visit being at home and the appointment I made for next week (which would be my 36 week) is at the surgery I assume as nothing else has been said.
Guess we don't see MWs at home here till after baby has arrived
Assume they just trust we all have suitable safe homes and environments to bring the babies home to then :)
(interestingly I know of someone who took her baby home and the HV came and freaked at the state of her place - not saying all young mums are like this btw but she'd not long moved out and basically she had NOTHING... nothing for the baby, no clothes, no cot/bed, no bottles, nappies etc and the place was filthy and she didn't even have a fridge... the poor HV had never seen anything like it... Thankfully she had a heart and she basically arranged to go for a couple of hours each evening to help her clean and organised some emergency things for her. The girls younger sister told her OHs mum (who lives opposite us lol hence how I know ;) ) and they organised clothes, nappies, moses basket and everything else...
Would have been a lot less stressful if they had done a home visit before she had the baby and they'd identified the problems before she took the baby home...
Looks like your health authority has a different process to ours all together, we're completely midwife led, haven't seen a single Dr about this pregnancy or the last one...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
