The Debt Free Birthday Club Challenge!

Hi F_F! I’ll be 32 on my birthday, or 8 in Leap Year Birthdays!
My total targeted debt is £23,861.53, which I’d like to shift by 29/02/12. The two smaller debts (£1,479.57 and £3,422.00) are the ones with the highest APRs, so I’m going to try and plough through them in the first six months of 2010, before throwing everything at the big one of £18,959.96!
Good luck everyone!
:T

Well my total has gone down ever so slightly as you can see by my sig, but I am on the straight and narrow now.....No unneccessary spending allowed
and have some reviewing payment due end of this month, so that will help
Feeling very positive today

0.3% progress - oh dear! Am having a very IMPATIENT time at the moment, feel like I'm doing so well with the overpayments but so much is being swallowed up in interest... But staying positive, will definitely manage a few more payments this month from ebay and assorted others so will just have to be patient and not end up rashly paying too much and ending up penniless for the rest of the month.

How much are you expecting from HSBC? How exciting- hope it turns up quickly!
Hi Laura, sorry for the belated reply, didn't realise quite how long I'd been awol from the thread for
My rather blonde calculations keep giving different amounts but I *think* it will be around £700 refunded with a similar amount again knocked off the balance of the loan, although I suspect they will try to knock the whole amount off the loan balance initially. Not that I'm sceptical about HSBC or anything :rolleyes:Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

mikeone - sorry for the delay but work has been mental and those bad people on the PAD thread have me farming on Facebook all the live-long day. I have now updated your total on the front page of the challenge.0

Right- it's done! That Halifax card is gone gone gone! :j:j And total paid off is now over £2000. It's only about 5 months since I came on here saying 'finally paid over £1000 off!'
To celebrate I have bought myself a new bead for my pandora bracelet. Cost = £20 (had room for it in budget!) Represents 1% of the £2000 I have paid off.
Anyways, time for happy dance;0
