*shamlessly cut and pasted from my diary 'cos I was too lazy to type it again!*A little annoyed with HSBC today. Statement arrived today and the interest rate haas gone up again to 21.9%. The thing that really annoys me is the fact that they don't tell you the rate is going up- it just happens. So I am writing a letter to them to say how annoying this is. They will probably ignore it, but at least I have done something.
Had a letter today from HSBC saying thanks for your letter, we do tell you about the interest rate increase blah blah blah ...
ps you 'qualify' for an interest rate of 15.9%!
So one letter= 6% interest rate drop!
Result! :j:j0 -
Well.. nobody's been on here for a while! :rotfl:
last Ticker update for this month:
Will be rid of that pesky Halifax card next month, and then at the beginning of November I've a bigish payment planned for HSBC card- just in time to coincide with lower interest rate.
Still- in a couple of weeks I will be over £2k payed off and minus one credit card :j:j0 -
Well done Laura!!
I've not been on as I've had no decent debt-busting news
I'll do a big update next week when I get paid, but I think my debt might go up a smidge as I've decided to include some things I was hoping would be paid by Mr Fresian (Money he owes me) but he's not working as he's gone back to college so I'm going to start paying them off myself and if he ever pays me back......SHOES :rotfl:0 -
Just made myself a ticker
will update it when I next get paid in a couple of weeks
because I'll be able to tot up what I owe again properly then

Oh dear, every time I post my ticker it seems to be going backwards -? I think this is mathmatical failure on my part rather than dfb failure! Here is the latest effort, checked and double checked, think its right! Maybe I should just stick to my signature!
Still pottering on at a respectable rate though. Plus have some very good news to tentatively report, but am going to whisper it as I don't want to jinx it until I get the cold hard cash in my grubby paws!
HSBC have agreed to refund my PPI claim - yippee!!!
Well done everyone, some really impressive amounts on here and everyone is committed to tackling the problem, which is the most fabulous thing :TBarclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0
