I would love to join this challenge - I will be 30 in November 2012, my debts should be cleared by Nov 2014 but I really want them gone by the time I hit the BIG Three Zero!
So total amount at todays calculation is £25,999.58
To be gone by November 2012.... I had my lightbulb moment and started this on the 25th July and so far thru car boots, amazon and have just got an evening job, i have managed to pay off an extra £596.57 (over and above my actual loan repayments per month) so I am feeling really good about this! :jVIRGIN CC [STRIKE] £648.87[/STRIKE]PAID OFF 08-09-09 :j

Hey, thought I'd send you a depressing update - I seem to have spent more, due to 2 holidays in the last month
My own fault I know, but the french one was meant to be cheap with my parents (they own a house) and bills just keep coming
I'm fed up, everytime I seem to pay something off, I get another bill. Its RUBBISH!! Next week when I have nothing to do, I am going to make an effort to sell some things on ebay etc....although I really don't know what...any ideas - I do online surveys, stuck on about £46 on yougov which is annoying, and made a bit on lightspeed.
Anyone got any other suggestions?Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)- DFD: September 1st 2023[/b]

I have found that car boot sales and Amazon have been really handy for extra cash - also i sold my decent mobile phone to envirophone (got £98) and started using an old brick which was laying about in a drawer... I dont have much luck with surveys though i'm afraid.VIRGIN CC [STRIKE] £648.87[/STRIKE]PAID OFF 08-09-09 :j

Thanks Bells...I'll have a look. What kind of things do you sell? I have a lot of novels, but hardly seems worth putting them on when others are selling them for 1p!Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)- DFD: September 1st 2023[/b]

Hi all! Managed to pay off double my usual contribution to student loan thanks to some good luck and bit of effort on ebay and other selling avenues.
Woo hoo!!! I've just jumped another 4.6% closer to target!!!! And DFD date is Feb 2012, so only 3months to shave off to get rid of it by my 33rd birthday! It's all doable!!!
