Morning everyone
Thought I would do my own ticker, not that I have paid anything off yet :
I've only got 2 years and 7 days left. That's only 737 days . I've just really depressed myself now. Still, only 737 days until I am debt free :j

Well, I have been away for a few days, but after the initial £80!!! train fare, managed to not spend any money in 3 days, so not bad at all.:T
I have started the PAD challenge, and i have to say - Emily - that was a great idea! I have made more payments than I thought I would.
Well, I have to pop into town now (hopefully, won't spend too much!), but I may be back later, as I need some advice on money type stuff...hope that's OK!:oMBNA - [STRIKE]£7068.60 [/STRIKE] £7060.00 Egg - 1422.35 A&L - [STRIKE]£249.32[/STRIKE] £215.00Loan - £13279.50 :rolleyes:0 -
Hi everyone- had some good news this morningWhoo hoo!
A letter came through from our gas company today saying they owed us £230. I gave them a ring 'cos it sounded a bit bizarre and it turns out they have been overcharging us for the last 3 years as it was mostly estimated bills, so they are refunding us £200!!
So now all I need to deceide is what to do with my £100 (BF get's other £100 as we pay same into joint account)
Should I:- Pay it off credit card (this one saves most interest so should really do it this way..)
- Pay into Christmas savings, then pay money for christmas savings off of CC for next few months.
- Pay £100 off BF (then pay money would be paying him off CC)
- Put in holiday savings (then pay money of CC, you get the idea)
- Buy an expensive pair of shoes (not really! :rotfl:)
Anyways, lovely unexpected £100
UPDATE: OH has just burst my little happy bubble and said we should spend the money on getting the boiler and gas fire serviced, which we should have done in January but didn't have the money to do. I guess it's sensibleStill, maybe there will be a few pennies left over to pay some off the CC
Still- 200 squids is 200 squids and not to be sneezed at!0 -
Good early evening DFBs:cool:
Have finally caught up with the posts and the snippets of "debt busters lingo and ideas"
Sound's like a which magazine publication!!!
When I worked out how much extra each month would have to be paid over the next ### months to be a smiley happy girl I was reeling from the shock:eek::(:eek:
So I picked myself up and dusted myself off.....etc etc and I came and cheered myself up by coming to you wonderful lot for inspiration and comfort:heartsmil
All is well again now and my challenge is a mere drop in the ocean in the sea of life!
I realise that anything is achievable and every little helps. My bathroom shelves are full of "Use-ups" as are my kitchen cupboards.
I think I will have to prescribe 2 doses of DFB a day for the next xxxxx yearsMay you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0 -

So I hope any DFBer out there will also take their medicine too I just know you'll feel better very soon ( have also paid £14.25 towards various bods as I found a load of change in an old handbag!)
Remember- when the debt blues strikejust get on the DFB buster hike:T
