I will aim for all four, which is a total of £8667.24 by 28th November 2010. No idea how I will manage it but you've got to be in it to win it I guess! That's if you lovely DFB's will have me :p
    You're on the list!
  • Evening everyone.... no payment for me today, as the CCs/banks don't seem to have caught up from the weekend (and I'm skint :o ) so helping the cause by having another NSD today, store cupboard tea, and staying in, watching the football :D

Hi all! Thought I'd pop in and say nothing to report today.. so all rather boring really. I'm doing my free scratchcards though- trying to build up to a withdrawable amount which I can then pay off one of the CC's. Other than that, all's quiet on the western front! :D

    oooh, Update:
Just sold a book on Amazon, will get £38.64 for it :j:j
Must be strong and pay £30 off of a credit card rather than frittering it away.

So, as soon as it clears then I will transfer £30 to HSBC card. And maybe I will buy a bottle of wine with £8. :D
  • It starts officially for me today! I got paid today and forgot that my increment was due in this month's pay so it was £43 higher than I was expected. I have transferred that across to my savings account. I've also confiscated £100 from my husband's pocket money as his car needed repairing AGAIN. We've now spent £1350 on his car in three months so of course I just wanted to cut our losses and scrap it but he begged me to get it repaired and he would pay for it out of his own money!

The savings money might get touched near the back end of the month however I am gonna do my best not to touch it!

Am just in process of writing up a menu plan for next week. I've given myself £80 per week for groceries however I obviously want to be waaaaaaay lower than that!

I'm going to withdraw £65 cash this week, £20 for myself, and £45 for 'everything else'. It worked really well last time I did it. I really do not like spending cash whereas I don't see credit cards or debit cards as 'proper' money so it's easier to spend!

I've also signed up to the 100 day challenge and have given up buying (not using LOL) make-up & Beauty products, and magazines other than the two I allow myself (Closer & Now)
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23

Posted my book off today, so one step closer to that £38 (and 64p!) :D Will have a look around and see if any of my other old text books are saleable, as even though it took a few weeks to sell £38 (and 64p!)is well worth having :D

    Hi f_f and everyone else

Have been reading through the thread, (only just found it) and would love to join in please.

I was kind of hoping to be debt free by October, it's not my birthday but will be starting a new life as a 'Mrs', WAS hoping to start married life DF, not sure this is going to happen now, but will keep trying.

So will aim to be DF by April 2010.

    Am aiming to pay off:
    Approx £2850

This challenge will definitely motivate me and keep me on track.

    Good Luck everyone

Hi kashton and EverTheOptimist and welcome!

You're on the members list on the front page now, so have a wee check and make sure your details are right :D

Another £5 for me today (Won't be keeping this up, it's payday next week and it's getting tight!) and I have taken £60 from my ING account to pay to Barclaycard too - this won't come through today though as it seems ING don't do Faster Payments  My balance on the card is now at £310 and falling quickly :j

    Have a debt-busting day :D
