Hi
What a great challenge!! I am too aiming to be debt free by the time I am 30 which is 2 years and 9 days away . My current debt (according to CCCS) is £33195.75. My DMP is currently scheduled to finish on September 2012 so I need to get this down to April 2011. I think saving for F&F settlements is the way to go with this one.
Would love to join please :j.

And as I know you founded the PAD Challenge originally, can I just say that your idea has made the biggest impact on my debt and that it is an idea of pure genius. You're a bit of an MSE celebrity to me

Well, I never made it to the bank yesterday (pay-day) as I still had some money leftover in my purse, so although it wasn't a NSD, I haven't touched any of this week's money yet!
Made tea last night with what was in the freezer and will make a note of what is in there today and go to the supermarket.
Also need to have a good diet day before my Saturday weigh-in. Someone brought me a box of roses yesterday and I went and scoffed half of them (GRRR)Start Date: 27/11/2010

Had a shocking week with my spends too. I need to get myself back on track.

Yes, i 2nd that. It's really made me take stock. I've taken more control over my debt repayments, rather than just sitting back making minimum payments whilst wasting more money than i realised i had!
My son has a spare pair of spiderman shades you can have :cool:One step at a time0 -
Hello DFB's!
Hope things are going well with everyone!
I am very GRRRRR at the minute because I had my statment from A&L - although I have done nothing but pay off the balance, not used the card in months - my minumum payment and interest charged has gone up by a tenner?
Not that I'm too bothered about the min payment as I pay more than that anyway, but the interest charged is bugging me as the rate is the same as last time! I've asked on the CC board and it's all how it's supposed to be apparently but still, GRRR! How can 2.295% of a smaller amount be MORE than 2.295% of a larger one!!
OK rant over, sorry about that! lol
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

How does that work? I'm lucky at mo as 0% interest, but i've never noticed that on other CC.
Anyway rant away Silaqui.
Well i decided to pay £3.49 off my CC today, decided it would just sit in my current account waiting to be spent on not much. Now have £11.00 in my acc which works better with the OCD side of me!!
My turn to rant now.
Have had an electric bill today, they are putting my DD up £3, so that's £3 less i have for debts each month, and I'm only £0.94 in debit. my gas bill's £37 in debit, and DD stayed the same.
Hope everyone's had a good day, and making a dent in their debts.

I had something like that recentlyI must confess to being a little baffled by my recent Halifax CC statement.
I have been overpaying for the last three months. The minimum payment is now 1% (scandalous, hence overpaying!) and has not changed, and the interest rates have not changed, but the minimum payment has increased this month, even though the balance is less?? And the minimum payment is more than 1% of the balance.
Has anyone else had statements which are not adding up or is that just me?
It turned out it was due to some kind of thing in the T&C's about minimum payment being 1% of the balance, or the interest + £5, whichever is more. So for a while I was paying 1%, then I got to a certain level where interest + £5 was more than 1%.
Does that make sense? Anyways, maybe your card has some kind of weird T&C like that?0
