I dont think that is far fecthed at all. most criminals are idiots and i would bet my wallet and its contents that it has happened a fair few times before now.I think that's a bit far fetched to be fair.
The Police are not stupid. If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
One persons experience of trying to stop ebay selling their stolen goods. As usual crap customer service:

The seller only sells a handful of mobile phones, but only mobile phones. Just enough for him to regularly acquire or "find".
I am well aware it may all be coincidential, but there are a numer of reasons why I think it is in fact my phone. If he was a genuine seller why ignore 2 of my emails? Maybe I was too eager in asking a Q on Monday lunchtime, after he had only listed it Sunday at 10pm - he could of thought this phone is a bit hot at the mo, best ignore her in case its the owner.
Also if the seller bought the phone at the carboot.... it would have been a single phone (with no other accessories, not even a charger, box etc), sold for cheap as chips and as it was blocked within 15 mins of it going missing, no doubt if switched on (which I'm sure someone buying it would want to see) would have displayed something saying it was blocked. Now if you bought a phone like that, surely alarm bells would be ringing!!!??
Here is another example of someone having to do what I will probably do, buying my own goods on ebay... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/6573363.stm0 -
How can they sell it on if it is blocked?0

Why would I have a link to the auction? I just asked how someone can sell on a phone thats blocked? Perhaps they can unblock it, I have no idea.
You replied it was listed as faulty but the OP never said that it was listed as faulty not that I can see anyhow.0 -
