    Morning All,

Well it's all gone Pete Tong, to quote Mrs GG!

It started last night when I went home and plopped my a$$ down on the couch to watch something I taped last night! I made myself some soup for dinner, cos it was a gym night and always feel ill if eat anything more (dunked some ryvitas in it, which were delish). Anyway watched prog, ate soup then put washing in the machine. Went to get ready for the gym and the phone went telling me my laptop was ready.

Decided to pick it up on the way to the gym - did that, went to gym, blah blah blah! Came home and noticed hadn't switched washing machine on, damnation and it's towels so now too late to do a full wash. Taped Bones and ran bath - bliss. Came out bath, switched laptop on, took ages to find anything i.e. games. Pottered about the kitchen, put pasta on for lunch today and went back to my game.

Twenty mins later, wondered what the noise was - it was the pasta bubbling away in about 2mm of water - disaster! Pasta in bin, new stuff on which turned out ok. By this time it was almost 11pm, went to bed.

Got up this morning to make lunch, pasta was hard and dried up - forgot to put in the fridge. Forgot to take detox tablets, went to canteen to buy something and didn't have enough money

So to cut a long story short, I am taking a half day today to try and salvage something of my disasterous day! Oh and sis trying to get me to go out tomorrow night even though I'm Detoxing and can't drink, the mood I'm in right now I could easily get p*ssed and chuck it all.

But, I am not going to do that, I am going to take half day, get housework done, NOT turn laptop on (god help me when I get broadband). Anyway better do some work before I get sacked too :D

sorry you had a crap night/start of day. At least you've got your laptop! The way you started your tale I was worried in case you'd managed to trash it already! Hope you have a nice afternoon to make up for the trauma! Resist re your OH and Sis it isn't what you need right now.... Perhaps you could suggest something to do at home?

Thanks savingholmes, I have emailed my sis and told her I will only go out if I get my housework done - honestly I can't quite believe how messy my house is - and if not I will run her to the pub and she can stay at my (now tidy, hopefully) house. OH is coming down tonight but think can persuade him to stay in and watch dvd's of 24.

Well hope everyone has a lovely weekend, I've perked up a bit now, totally nothing to do with having a half day, LOL

    Bye for now x

    Afternoon all,

I am typing this from my new laptop :j. Finally got it set up after panicking last night when I opened the box to find a mountain of techie stuff (I picked the DIY version), after countless calls to Virgin they said they would send a technician out (next Saturday). Came to bed last night and noticed a cable lying (stupid me hadn't connected it to the modem - I did say I panicked) no wonder it wasn't working!

Anyhow, been to Body Pump this morning and feeling so much happier than yesterday, even managed to get house spotless. Bedroom is a work in progress cos loads of clothes to look through but I'll get there. Just hope don't let it slip by staying on here all day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, the sun is shining, yeah! x

  • Nice one on getting the LT working.

Great to hear you are sorting your clothes out! What are you going to do with them? Ebay or Charideeeeee?

I hear Ebay is not so good for clothes, ok for handbags and shoes!

Any tips? We have a mountain of clothes to sort.

Have you been watching Gok's Fashion Fix? I'd go mad with just 24 pieces plus I am sure I would get bored of wearing the same outfits all the time.....

    Hi Mrs GG,

I'm actually going to have a car boot sale, hopefully unlike the last one I had where it poured with rain and I only made £16.50! I've decided to go for £1 for a top, £2 for bottoms like trousers or jeans, £2.50 for shoes/bags, £3 for jackets and £5 for coats. I hate haggling so just gonna print up a price list and if people buy great, if not will do another one. At the last one, a woman was taking 4 pairs of jeans, 3 of which were Tommy Hilfiger ones, I asked for £10 and she looked at me in disgust. Come on £10 for 4 pairs of jeans, I thought that was good, ha! Should make £100+ if not more. Ebay is too much like hard work, trying to work out postage and stuff.

I love Gok, I need him to help me with what to wear. When you think about what you wear, I bet you only really wear about 24ish pieces of clothes regularly, I know I wear the same things, hence the clear-out. If he came to see me, I'd have hundreds of clothes for the washing line.

Well can't stay on here all day, or can I?! I'm quite bored actually, OH is standby today so not seeing him so gonna have to sit around til tonight when I'm probably going to go out. No drink for me, cos been v.good today.
  • My first carboot was not a nice experience. Had things stolen from the car. It was like the first day at the Harrods sale!!!

Ten pounds for 4prs of jeans is pretty good, esp if upper High St brands or designer. These car booters want their cake and eat it, or should I say their jeans and wear 'em!!

I wear the same ole stuff all the time. Least being out of work at the moment and this freaky heat wave, I am not spending my time panicking that I don't have any summer work clothes!!

Enjoy your evening and well done on the detox. Don't forget not drinking means you are spending less!
