Mrs GG, it's just a mini 10 day challenge that everyone on The Blonde thread started, everybody is giving up something for 10 days, cos apparantly after 10 days you don't crave it anymore, mines is sticking to my detox and not having ANY biscuits/cakes or sweets! Which is why I ate an Easter egg on Saturday night :D

I didn't get up to anything exciting SH, put petrol in car £30, about £20ish for food and oops about £50 on clothes . Most are for holiday so totally justified as out holiday budget (I might take some back cos not sure I like them now), did manage to get a skirt, a vest top and a cardi from Tesco for £16, bargain.

Well off to bed soon, just waiting on OH texting to say got home safe - we will be closer together one of these days...
  • Totally like the mini challenge. Will have a look-see at that.

I know the saying that 21 days creates a habit.....

PS - any sign of Blondie yet???

Well I'm cheating a bit cos been on the detox for 14 days now, although haven't quite got over my cravings, yet!

No word from Blondie, it's a bit worrying but hope she is doing ok and getting her life sorted. Think she could've been scared off with talk of meets etc.
  • You are a braver woman than I. Me and biscuits and cakes and sweets, let's just say I am not sure I could give them up. I don't want to try. I'd be unbearable. Or should I say even more unbearable than usual!

Did so enjoy Blondie's thread. Curious to know if she is ok, why she has gone quiet. Perhaps needs a bit of time to reflect. Perhaps has got a wicked new job and has been flown overseas for top job or for exec meeting abroad?? The main thing is that she is ok, I do hope she is.

I'm losing my touch, still can't get on the web at work but at least I'm having real conversations with the new girl, she's very nice and very chatty!

So went to see the nurse today to get put on my low fat diet . Asked to be weighed cos was sure had lost a couple of pounds, according to her scales I have lost..... drum roll...... not a bl**dy thing! I am exactly the same weight as when I started, but strangely I feel better and my clothes fit me better, what is that all about!

Anyway have stuck ridgedly to it today and not one bad thing has passed my lips, making dinner just now, don't know how 'low fat' grilled bacon, baked potato, beans and cabbage is but is flipping tasty :D

Smoke alarm just went off, dinner must be ready so will catch up later. Need to note some stuff on my to do list (have I even started one?!?)
  • Hi Swinstie,

Just passing through and thought I would say hello! Hope your dinner was okay after your smoke alarm going off :P !!

Afternoon peeps (if anyone is there),

Getting good at this detox marlarky, although still peed off at not losing any weight. My 'low fat' diet is basically stuff everyone already knows, but must admit when you see it in writing, you realise you do use too much marg etc., but if it doesn't come down in 3 months time just gonna have to get used to the fact that I'm fat on the inside :D.

Anyway, dinner last night was tasty, not burnt just the smoke alarm goes off at the slightest thing - too near the kitchen I think. So it's more cabbage tonight (maybe I could do the cabbage diet cos I love it), with smoked haddock, tatties & veg, just need to remember and reduce my portion sizes which I do when OH is being fed too.

Have written my cheques for overpayments this month and along with my loan coming off, I have paid £747 this month (stretched it a bit cos got an unexpected payment) so I'm now officially under £11K :j. £10,999.60 to be precise, so hoping and praying I don't add to it this month!
