Woohoo!! You've done brilliantly Swinstie paying off all that!! Sorry to hear you haven't lost any weight after all that effort but maybe you don't need to lose weight and your body is happy at the weight it is :D I have been following a low fat diet for 7 years now and it does work. Apart from putting on the odd pound or two now and again (which I always lose anyway) I've kept the weight off that I lost with WeightWatchers. I'm lucky that I don't like butter, marg or any oils/fats and I don't eat meat so I'm halfway there already.

I'm going to try to get my debt down in May to under £2000. Don't care if it's only 1p under £2000 as long as there's a 1 after the £ sign.

Been trying to get on this site all lunchtime but someone decided to stop by my desk and talk to me for ages about the Gross National Debt and banking regulations (yawn). I kept thinking I'm only interested in my debt at the moment thank you!!

Keep detoxing and have a good day!! :)

    Hi Sun Addict,

Thanks for that, needed cheered up today after getting pelters from the guys in work about dieting, cos they overheard me telling someone I hadn't lost weight, all I was getting was 'eat less, exercise more'! As if I'm taking detox tabs and eating still everything I can see, of course I'm eating less and exercising 3 times a week. I want to have a life away from exercising but they think you should be at the gym 7 nights a week:eek:

Anyway not listening to anyone, not really bothered about the weight loss, it's more my cholesterol I need to lower. So low fat diet for me all the way. Just wish the pounds would drop of my debt though :D

Watching Desperate Housewives then bed, can't believe Edie is dead, she is so funny and straight to the point.

    Anyway nite for now x

Have written my cheques for overpayments this month and along with my loan coming off, I have paid £747 this month (stretched it a bit cos got an unexpected payment) so I'm now officially under £11K :j. £10,999.60 to be precise, so hoping and praying I don't add to it this month!

bravo0001.gif brilliant:T:T Getting under £11K must feel great.

    Well done on the detox:j

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Well getting there with the detox, only 11 days to go after today! Nearly wasn't going to finish it though, cos almost crashed my car this morning on the way to work

Tried turning into a side street but didn't see a car coming cos a van had been in front of me, just me being impatient, but managed to stop in time. The other driver nearly had a hairy, but nothing bad happened so phew!

Anyway had a scone this morning but didn't really enjoy it again, think will give them up - moving office soon and won't have a canteen so will have no choice soon. Ordered a toastie for lunch, was gonna cancel but got the gym tonight so will have a light dinner of soup or something.

Gonna work out my debt busting plan at lunch-time, worked out can be debt free in 17 months and pay off my loan 18 months earlier (can't make any over-payments unfortunately) but am determined to get it all paid by Sept 2010.

    Hi Swinstie

Crashing your car is not a good way to get out of going to work!! Glad you're ok. Good job I don't drive as I have enough near misses by just being a pedestrian - the times I've nearly been run over!

I don't venture anywhere near work's canteen. I just bring my own stuff in. I usually make a huge batch of soup on a Sunday which lasts me all week. Try to snack on fruit in between unless someone brings cakes in. There are 40 people in my office and it's always someone's birthday/leaving do/promotion/holiday sweets/any excuse for cakes. They are usually good though and bring a box of WeightWatchers cakes so I can have one :D. People visiting our office always say "all you lot ever do is eat cakes".

Good luck with your debt busting plan. 17/18 months will soon pass - time always flies when you're having fun . My realistic aim is March 2010 but have a secret unrealistic aim of this Christmas!!

    Have a good day!!

Thanks Sun Addict & Rupe, was driving like an 80 year old on the way home, just in case :D

Well worked out my plan at lunch-time, if I play my cards right, could be debt free by Sept 2010 (or 518 days from now).

Starting debt at 1 Oct 08 was technically £16,294, as had £14,571 of debt and added £1,723 in the last 7 months. Current debt at 1 May 09 is £10,999 so have cleared £5,295 or £756.42 a month since. If I can keep pay approx £647 a month for the next 17 months, the debt is gone. Only problem is I can't make over-payments to my loan but am hoping that by putting money away once credit cards paid off, I can pay the loan 18 months early :j.

So £647 a month it is, £145.56 to my loan and £501.44 to credit cards. I think (hope) it can be done, Sept 2010 doesn't sound as bad a 3 years (the term of the loan still to run). Will update my credit cards totals later!
