    Hi all,

Not much to report today, came home feeling a bit achy and shivered all day in work today but feel ok now. Hope it's not the dreaded flu as a guy in work's wife has swine flu! It's getting closer..... now where's my vitamin C?!!

Anyway, over a week til payday and I am so skint! Didn't get paid great at second job but at least it was a bit extra coming in. It's my own fault, been a bit spendy recently although most was Christmas shopping, only got one small present for OH to get, something for his dad and about 8 family Christmas cards and I'm all done.

My credit card has quadrupled this month because....wait for it.....I bought 9 tickets to go and see Pink at Hampden next year! Bill was at £250, it is now just under £1K. !!!!!!! Tickets for Pink = £460 which leaves £290 that I have spent on god knows what! I will obviously get £410 back for the tickets (£50 for mines) but £290 is a dreadful amount to have spent.

Ok, let's think, £60 on jeans (got birthday money but not enough) leaves £230, £35 today on petrol, leaves £195, £35 on a work skirt cos badly needed one, now at £160, I do not know what this was spent on! I think £70 was on Christmas which I have saved up, so really only £90 un-accounted for!

I love this time of year, birthday, Christmas, nights out but will need to pull the reigns in again. My MOT is due very soon, but I have money saved for that, thankfully. I haven't been updating my spending diary, started it in April and listed daily spends, been averaging £18/day but also had NSD's, think will stop this until after the festivities and get down to action.

Suppose I did say I wanted to have a life whilst paying off my debt, looks like I took that too literally! Well gonna say nite now, cos my head is buzzing with £ signs, nite all x

The spending diary habit really does work - I am really bad for letting myself go off the rails and stick stuff on my credit card :o

Hope you are feeling better - I've had a cold all week

I hope you manage to get the spending under control.....

Have you ever sat down and looked at where your overspending started?

I kind of worked out where mine came from and that did help.....

    Eh morning all!

I know I am still up at an ungodly hour, but just been to see New Moon at the pics and just home having a cuppa before bed. Not sure if anyone is a fan of these films, but my friend asked me to go, I hadn't seen Twilight so she brought the dvd up to mines and we had a gab and a Chinese etc. whilst watching the film then it was off to the pics.

I'm not one for going on opening night and now I know why! The place was heaving, the queue was a mile long as the film wasn't due to start til 9.55pm, I was starting to fall asleep! Not as much as the baby in the queue, and no I'm not talking about myself, being the youngster that I am :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

There were two woman in the queue with a BABY! !!!!!!!!! The poor thing obviously wasn't there to look at the talent, although must admit I didn't think much of it myself! You would've thought if you were so desperate to see a film, you'd at least get a baby-sitter!

Film was ok but I have been advised to read the books, think I would enjoy them more. Hope there are other good films out soon, as we have 3 off tickets for the movies which run out Dec 09.

Damnation I am wide awake now! Oh well, suppose I better go and try get some sleep, got the gym at 10am tomorrow  Nite all xx

Back again! As for the over-spending, it's not so much about buying 'stuff', it's more like just sticking things on my Visa i.e. food shopping! The Pink tickets I will obviously get the money back for, but I honestly haven't been buying clothes (apart from the jeans and skirt).

Haven't got the planned night out tonight (cos this is Sat) so will save money there, gives me a good chance to get the house finished. The livingroom, kitchen and bathroom are spotless and the bedroom is a riot (again)! Ok, going this time, honest....
